In our humble opinion, role models make the best models. So we knew we wanted Fiverr community members to be the faces of our Year of Do campaign. We flew in real Fiverr buyers and sellers for a two-day photo shoot with world-famous photographer Platon. Now you can see the results in our out-of-home ads in Washington, DC, San Francisco, and New York—and most recently, Brooklyn!
Meet Greg Molinar: Fiverr buyer, Brooklyn resident, and one of the faces of our In Doers We Trust campaign. Find out what makes Greg tick as an entrepreneur in the interview below, and then head to our Insta Stories for behind-the-scenes outtakes from the shoot and a peek at the daily life of a BK doer.
So my name is Greg Molinar, aka Gee Wizz. I’m a dad of two beautiful children. I am also a hip-hop artist who is trying to put purpose into production.
I am into multiple things due to my constant need to create. Outside out of music, a group of friends and I have a production company called ‘Clean Fun Comedy.’ We produce skits and are currently filming our first short film. You can check some skits out at cleanfuncomedy.com! I am also in the early stages of putting together a platform of inspiration for creatives and dream chasers, together with one of my good friends who is a U.S. track star.
What drives me is the need to create. It’s not as much that I sit down and make myself think of ideas or lyrics when I’m writing music. It’s more inspired, it more or less comes to me. The purpose behind the things I do is clear though. Production with purpose. Purpose in doing what I can to push people forward, to give people hope and to let them know it’s okay to “chase your dream.”
I’ve used Fiverr for everything from logo creation to digital images construction. A Fiverr freelancer helped me come up with mixtape cover, and I’ve also used Fiverr to help promote my music. I love how Fiverr allows me to see every freelancer's skill set as well as read reviews, compare rates, and browse categories.
Working with Fiverr for the In Doers We Trust ads was amazing. Seeing yourself on a billboard or the side of a bus is crazy to me. It was definitely a wonderful experience and I am ever thankful for the opportunity.[caption id="attachment_26785" align="aligncenter" width="596"]

Working with Platon was SPECIAL. Before we started to shoot, he sat down and asked me some questions about myself. He then spoke to me a bit about life, told me a story about a talk he had with Muhammad Ali (you know, as one does) and gave me what seemed to be a life lesson in five minutes. The way he was able to connect with me and bring things out of me made the experience unforgettable, and I feel you can sense that in the photos he took.
Doers in BK are special since they always strive to make Brooklyn to be the best of the New York boroughs. Think of the Nets going there, the way BK has morphed into a new place. And when it comes to music, forget about it! BK is home to Biggie, Jay-Z and Fabolous—artists many people would argue are the greatest ever. I believe the grind and hustle is deep-rooted here in Brooklyn. [caption id="attachment_26786" align="aligncenter" width="629"]

Advice for first-time buyers is to shop around. Read the descriptions of what the people are offering and read the reviews. One of the other cool attributes on Fiverr is being able contact the sellers before you purchase a Gig. Use the messaging system to ensure you and the seller are the same page. More communication means a better chance that you will be happy with the results.
My goals for 2018 are heavy. I just released my mixtape on May 2nd. My team and I continually film skits and am currently filming our short film that we will be submitting to some festivals. I am also in process of writing and recording for a collab EP I am doing with some friends who are also artists and will be working on my EP after that.Above all, I will DO!
