Newbie on the Spot: Illustrator Alexandra Stefan

She had us at pets! Meet Alexandra Stephan, a Fiverr newbie who happens to be a talented illustrator of animals and other too-cute-to-handle drawings that’ll make you smile. Hey Alexandra! First things first - tell us a little bit about yourself!

My name is Alexandra Stepan, I’m 28 years old and I’m based out of a beautiful city in the western part of Romania. I don't remember the exact moment my passion for drawing started, but I do know that it happened when I was a very little and since then, my love for it kept growing!

I'm also really into arts and crafts and am the proud owner of a little business, offering custom-painted mugs. I like to think that 2018 will be my year! I opened my Fiverr Gig, my business is picking up... it's very exciting!

Walk us through your typical day as an illustrator.

I start most of my days by going to the gym because working out not only helps me physically but also clears my mind and improves my creativity. After I get back home where I spend my day working on Fiverr orders (Yay!), spoiling my dogs and learning new techniques that help improve my illustrations.

What made you join Fiverr and how has it affected your biz?

Ever since I can remember I've been creating illustrations as gifts and greeting cards. At one point, my friends told me that I should try to turn my passion for it into an income! Now I can say that I am definitely in the right place because Fiverr, being a huge marketplace for Pro freelancers, allows me to do what I love and get paid for it. Crazy, right?

Talk to us about your first Fiverr sale. What was the most memorable thing about the experience?

My first Fiverr sale was an illustration for a birthday card, drawing a girl with her two dogs, a Boxer and a Shih Tzu. Since it was my first sale, I was kind of nervous but the illustration turned out great and the buyer was very pleased :)

In your opinion, what is it about your Gig that stands out and is such an instant hit?

I like to think that what makes my Gig to stand out is that I make colorful and happy illustrations :)

Your pet drawings are just the cutest! Are they your favorite thing to draw?

I love drawing cute things and let’s be honest, what’s cuter than pets? I also love drawing children illustrations, and soon I will open a new Gig dedicated to just that.

What advice would you give a Fiverr newbie?

Even though I’m a Fiverr newbie myself, I would say trust yourself, be professional and polite and always be perseverant in your work.

What are you Fiverr #goals?
