As a global workforce community, Fiverr prioritizes expanding access to opportunities. Since 2019, Fiverr has initiated Digital Workforce Development Initiatives (DWDI) to create inclusive avenues for vulnerable populations in freelancing through tailored education and mentorship. These initiatives, like Empower, collaborate across sectors and geographies to extend economic opportunities.
Participants undergo workshops and mentorship, covering various aspects of freelancing, from profile creation to service setup and completing initial orders. Diverse groups, including older workers from the National Urban League and justice-impacted individuals from Next Chapter, have benefited from these programs.
The Empower DWDI specifically supports communities with disabilities to enhance their professional experience and expand their work portfolios. To support these freelancers, visit Fiverr’s Empower store.
As Fiverr continues to grow, the aspiration is for its freelancer marketplace to mirror the diversity of our communities.
