For the past year or so, all anyone – especially in the marketing and business worlds – has been able to talk about is AI. Artificial intelligence, neural networks, large language models, ChatGPT this and MidJourney that...
And while these technologies are no doubt powerful new tools that have quickly become part of the fabric of our work lives, we also know that often the output of AI tools can still be outright bad, confusing, nonsensical, and even (unintentionally) humorous.
In our new ad campaign “Power of Humanity,” we celebrate the unique talents and emotional complexity that real human beings bring to their work, and acknowledge that while AI is undoubtedly going to be a big part of our future, it’s still human talent which is essential to creative excellence.
In our quest to explore the dynamic interplay between human creativity and AI, we tried to envision what would happen if fictional companies from various different industries entrusted their entire creative process to the power of AI alone.
To bring this concept to life, we partnered with a skilled copywriter who crafted engaging prompts. These prompts were then fed into Midjourney, a state-of-the-art AI tool renowned for generating striking images.
The results were, let's say, as fascinating as they were unpredictable, leading us to lovingly refer to the visuals as “Absurd AI Ads”. As you can see, AI, while undeniably impressive, sometimes veers into unexpected territory. Occasionally, words were misinterpreted, while others were interpreted quite literally, highlighting the inherent challenges in replicating the unique creativity of real humans.
We believe it's a testament to the nuanced harmony of human ingenuity and AI innovation – a reminder that while AI offers immense potential, it flourishes most when complemented by the human touch, or to put it differently: when complemented by the #PowerOfHumanity.
