Read her Fiverr story below.

I have used Fiverr for the past six years in scaling my boutique creative design, digital marketing, and tech agency. In January my agency, Usable Tech Co turned 10. Through hard work, the support of more established agencies, appreciative clients, and resources like Fiverr, we have been able to grow increasingly from a solo (me!) enterprise to a team of nine core staff and over 25 freelancers.

We’ve got offices in two states, more than a half million dollars in revenue for our last fiscal year, and an an excellent reputation within the industry. Fiverr freelancers have at times served as the base of our staff, solving our administrative, marketing, and even legal needs - at prices that were budget-friendly during every stage of my business.

I began using Fiverr for a very simple need: data entry. While growing a business, it is very important to attend conferences and other networking opportunities to brand and sell your services. Earlier in my career, I attended over 10 large conferences and hundreds of networking events per year. The result would be a handful of promising new leads and a sense of accomplishment. I would then set an expectation for myself to follow up within 48 hours of every event.

That often didn't happen. My intentions were there, however when you are everything to your business, hours of business card scanning and sorting is just not productive and was rarely possible for us. I stumbled upon Fiverr looking for a solution and for no more than $15 after a Fiverr Gig and a tip, I shaved off hours from my day, and fulfilled my purpose of attending the events in the first place: to land contracts. Outsourcing this small need made a huge difference in my workflow.

I began to search Fiverr for additional needs and was able to focus on selling my business. Since my first data entry encounter, my agency has found some of the most creative designers, thorough lawyers, detail oriented web developers, and connected PR professionals on Fiverr. I even get my taxes done using an accountant on Fiverr! My advice to other small business owners is to do what you’re good at - managing your business,  and delegate/outsource everything else. You should not be scanning your own business cards.

If you are fortunate enough to have an assistant, their time might be better spent on something else as well. Snap a picture of all your business cards at once and find a freelancer on Fiverr to add them to a spreadsheet for you. CSV files can be imported into most major contact management and email marketing systems. Assess your needs and find a solution - on Fiverr.

I credit Fiverr for playing a major part in my business growth. I have also become a seller, offering low-cost marketing and business services for the small businesses that I'm most passionate about assisting. Let me know if I can help you!
