It's no secret that these are exciting times here at Fiverr. When we heard that our beloved company is going public, we knew we had to decorate the streets of New York with made on Fiverr wonders. In order to really show off the diversity that our marketplace offers, we asked 5 talented illustrators - all known for their unique, one-of-a-kind style - to create designs which were later painted on life-sized sculptures. These bull statues (AKA, the powerful beast which represents the stock market) were then placed in front of the New York Stock Exchange, proudly displaying our colorful platform. We chatted with the designers behind the illustrations (some of them are brand-new to Fiverr!) just to get a glimpse into the making of this awesome project.

Hey Dan! Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hey! I'm Dan Cavicchia and I am originally from Italy, but I've been living in London for 8 years now. I'm a graphic designer and I created my first Fiverr Gig in April 2019. My style in a word? Two words - Minimal and loud :)

Tell us about how you felt when we reached out about this project!

The project sounded amazing and quite "majestic". I was also given a lot of creative freedom, which is always nice to have. The final execution really lived up to expectations, and I was lucky enough to have my bull chosen by the NYSE as a permanent art piece for their offices. Jackpot!

I just wanted to make something that really represented the world of Fiverr. My main goal was presenting the enthusiasm and positivity of the platform, as well as the concept of relationships between sellers and buyers. That's why I opted for bright colors as well as interacting phrases and shapes. The final artwork was a reflection of this creative plan and looked quite fresh and current.

What are your Fiverr goals?

To grow and work on great projects. I'm mainly working on posters at the moment, although a big part of my offline work is branding. I'd love to take off as a pro-seller in that department too.

Hey Katya! Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hey! I'm Katya Vakulenko, I'm from Moscow, Russia and I'm an Illustrator. I've been working on Fiverr since May. I just joined last month :).My style in a word? Tasty!

Tell us about how you felt when we reached out about this project!

So Excited! I love seeing my illustrations brought to life in the form of 3D objects. And one that's so big like the bull was extra exciting.

Talk to us about your design

My goal was to create a flowing and serene design for the statue. The soft shapes and smooth lines are in contrast with the fierce and unruly nature of a bull, and the calm faces are unmoved by the fierceness of the animal. I was going for a doodle-like style, clean and simple, with eloquent lines to please the viewer’s eye.

What are your Fiverr Dreams?

I would like to keep working hard and continue to work on exciting projects like these as I can!

Hey Eliane! Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hi! I'm Eliane Mancera  and I'm from México city (but right now I live in Tijuana, Mexico.) I offer illustration services, and I've been doing it on the platform for about two years now! My style in a word?Quirky!

Talk to us about your experience working on the Bull project!

It was super exciting to be part of that celebration! As for my design, I like to use traditional techniques whenever I can so I think that was my way of thinking moving forward with this illustration. I love to bring a sense of joyful craft through the final piece.

Any Fiverr Dreams?

I would love to continue supporting my life and dreams as a freelancer by reaching new clients and having a steady flow of exciting, commissioned works and projects.

Hey Mijal! Tell us a little bit about yourself

I'm Mijal Zagier and I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but now I live in Kfar Saba, Israel. I am a PRO graphic designer on Fiverr, specializing in branding and packaging. My style in a word?Vibrant :)

Talk to us about your experience working on the Bull project!

I was super surprised and intrigued when I was reached out. Not often you get card Blanche to design, so it was incredibly fun to do it. My design is a playful take on colors and transparencies and I love to work with vibrant, primary colors. I also tried to make my design as approachable and happy as possible and I really tried to not take this pattern to seriously. For me, the design is playtime.

What are your Fiverr goals?

My Fiverr goal is to have my own studio at the level of the best branding studios in the work. I want to migrate all my work into the platform and like that centralize all clients in one single place.

Hey Olga! Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hi! I'm Olga Zalite from Saint Petersburg, Russia. I started selling on Fiverr back in June 2018 (so I'll be celebrating my Fiverrsary this month) and I provide services in illustration and icon design. My style in a word? Whimsical chaos flavored with cuteness. Couldn't do it in one a word :)

What went through your mind when we reached out about this project?

I was super excited! It was quite unexpected, too, since I haven't been so active due to the fact that I've relocated to San Francisco.

Talk to us about your design

I find inspiration in situations from my own life, so weird cravings, my fiancé, new things I learn... I also love working with imperfect shapes and bright warm-ish palettes as it's my way of seeing the world.

What are your Fiverr goals?

To return full-force, and continue sharing my style as I was told it makes people smile.

Blown away by these guys? Us too! Check out more talented illustrators on Fiverr now >
