Last month in London, a group of Fiverr’s Marketing team met with the local community for a busy day of conversation and education. Located at Central Hall Westminster, the event was Google’s Startup Grind, which describes themselves as, “the largest independent startup community, actively educating, inspiring, and connecting 400,000 founders in over 200 cities.” With entrepreneurs and startups being such an essential part of the Fiverr community, it was only natural for us to attend and learn their stories. Here are a few of our favorites:
What does your startup do?
I speak on, write about, and train business owners and their teams how to be happier, more confident and more profitable.
How has Fiverr helped your startup grow? Which Fiverr services have you used?
When creating my brand I sent my overview to several designers on Fiverr, posted the results on my Facebook page and took the best elements of what was said to come up with my final logo. I've also had my Linkedin profile professionally assessed, along with my business cards, pop-up banners, and website banners, all through Fiverr.
Why would you recommend Fiverr to other startups?
For any business cash-flow is critical, especially during the early stages. It's all too easy to spend too much and get lost before a business has time to flourish. For me, Fiverr was the missing link between what needed to be done, and it actually getting done. I'm not sure I would still be trading after a rocky start if it had not been for Fiverr.
What does your startup do?
We're the private alternative to restaurants, where you eat in the home of the chef.
How has Fiverr helped your startup grow? Which Fiverr services have you used?
We have used Fiverr digital illustration to design menus for a selection of our top chefs. By outsourcing this design process we were able to save precious time and focus on growth instead of design. We've also relied on the translation services a couple of times.
Why would you recommend Fiverr to other startups?
I would recommend Fiverr to other startups as the work you can outsource can save you huge amounts of time and let you focus on your business.
What does your startup do?
We organize programs for a foreign delegation of entrepreneurs, in both the student and public sector, to learn more about the London tech ecosystem.
How has Fiverr helped your startup grow? Which Fiverr services have you used?
I used Fiverr to get our logo designed. It was a great help and saved us a lot of money. I've also used it for my freelance journalist work, and have had a 25 minute video edited for much less than I would have paid in London.

Absolutely - Fiverr is great and extremely useful during the growth stage of your startup.
What does your startup do?
Innovative Event Management and Creation.
How has Fiverr helped your startup grow? Which Fiverr services have you used?
Fiverr has offered large scale international opportunities for collaboration, growth and innovation. Once you spend sufficient time on the site it is amazing the great value you can find. I have used video introductions from professionals, singing Gigs, music Gigs, and animations to convey my message in a way that otherwise would not have been possible.
Why would you recommend Fiverr to other startups?
I do not know of any other service where you can get anything delivered in just 1 day from anywhere in the world, with professional ratings, communication and delivery.
What does your startup do?
We began by producing complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and automating tasks using VBA for other businesses.These days in addition to that we also have a number of talented web developers in the team and often find ourselves building data management solutions online. The value for our clients is in improved processes, workflow, capacity and productivity.
How has Fiverr helped your startup grow? Which Fiverr services have you used?
Fiverr helped us in lots of ways – we wouldn’t be in business today if it hadn’t been for the platform. As demand increased, we also found a friendly community of people that we could refer business to when it exceeded our own capacity to deliver and once we developed those relationships also found that they would frequently refer business back to us.
Why would you recommend Fiverr to other startups?
If you get your service model right, you will quickly achieve volume sales, which is a great learning opportunity. Working with lots of clients, you learn very quickly how to scope a project effectively, interact positively and provide a great service. We delivered over a hundred Gigs over the course of a few months, and the experience and the confidence it gave us to move forwards is a large contributor to our success today.
What does your startup do?
We offer a range of QA & testing solutions and services for variety of technologies and clients. Each customer according to company’s needs and demands will find flexible solutions adjusted to his business models starting from start-ups and product companies to medium-sized and enterprise organizations.

We used Fiverr services to create our company logo and worked with two designers.
Why would you recommend Fiverr to other startups?
Working with Fiverr designers allows to put time range for each project and this helps a lot to plain the workflow and to receive final projects in time. This point is highly important in such type of work.
