Italian graphic designer Danilo Zanni, aka logo_business on Fiverr, keeps molto occupato. Already a Top-Rated Seller on Fiverr, his orders went through the roof after we shared his “Designing Happiness” Fiverr success story back in May.

Below he shares some of his top advice for those hoping to learn a new skill, whether that be graphic design, a new language, or getting started as a seller on Fiverr.
I receive many private messages on Fiverr and via social media. No matter where they come from, they all ask the same thing:

How can I make money fast?"How can I become a Top-Rated Seller now?" How can I receive more orders on Fiverr in less time?” etc...There aren't any secrets here, and these questions focus on the wrong things: “fast,” “quickly,” “less time.” In order to really succeed on Fiverr, in business, and in life, you need to be steadfast in learning, patience, and curiosity.

First of all, I’m not a billionaire, but absolutely I can't complain about the business I’ve made on Fiverr. My income has grown consistently thanks to my passion for logo design, and a lot of dedication to my Gigs and customers over the years. All this has given me balance in my business and personal life. Here are the questions to actually need ask yourself when starting your business on Fiverr:

"What are my passions?", “How can I learn to do this in the best way?”, "What are my goals?” You can start by buying a book, watching a video, or starting a course… in a single word: study. Then you can start to do something with the tools you already have at your disposal. We are in the era, much more than before, of self-learning… so thanks to the Internet you can learn anything without needing a lot of money or an education from a prestigious school.

You can start to learn what you wish immediately, for free, and without excuses if you really want to do it. When you’ve learned what you need to work with your passions, it’s time to explore your creativity. Differentiate yourself from the others, improve your skills, and build your own style. These concepts are valid no matter what your area of interest is.

For example: do you want to lose weight or learn a new sport? Don’t wait… go outside and just walk. Do you want to cook something for the first time? Don’t wait, just start to cook with the elements and instruments that you can find in your kitchen. Only when you take the first step can you deepen and improve every aspect of your interest.

Again, start with the tools you have and make your own experiences. I’m sure you will find your path to success by following your passions.
