International Women’s Day 2011 – The True Female Stars of Fiverr

One of the great things about the Fiverr community is that it is so diverse (culturally, religiously, age and gender agnostic). Men and women are equally successful and it all boils down to the creativity, perseverance, self promotion and great service when it comes to our star sellers. The same goes for buyers: we have been seeing women and men starting businesses around services they got on Fiverr, promoting their brands, or just finding cool things to share with their friends and loved ones.

With that in mind, we were only waiting for an excuse to spotlight just a few of Fiverr’s female stars. Without further ado, let us introduce a few of our very active women sellers and buyers:

Nogalicious

Nogalicious

We first wrote about Noga back on August 2010. Noga’s gig “I will give you instant relief from sadness or stress for $5“ continues to be a hit since Noga joined Fiverr and the feedback she has been getting tells about the joy she brings to so many people using her special talent.

Stephanie

Stephanielh

Stephanie is a very talented commercial actor, offering to do a 15 second commercial with your script and her “believability, conviction and professionalism”. In addition, she also offers to shoot a natural 30 seconds testimonial for your business or product. Both her gigs see great demand and are receiving awesome reviews.

Mary

Amerrylife

We first got to know Mary when she blogged about her efforts to save money for her wedding using a gig she offered on Fiverr titled: “I will give you a shoutout on my wedding blog for $5“. Mary writes: “I’m recently engaged and trying to earn money for our wedding by using fiverr! My fiance is in school to become a teacher and I’m a blogger. Our goal is to pay for our entire (very) budget wedding with extra money we earn from fiverr so please help us out. Thanks! :)”. So, head to her gig and help her have a dream wedding – that’s not too much to ask, is it?

Diana

Diariles

Diana is an actress, writer, designer, video reviewer and a jewelry consultant! She talks fast and her customers are absolutely charmed by her skills. Her gig: I will create a video positively reviewing your site or business for $5 has taken off fast and is going strong.

Mary

Hostmary

Mary is a published author and a radio host for a national cable and broadcast television show. She has done voiceover work for radio and audio books, and is also a brand spokesperson. Mary offers to voice over a one minute message for your marketing efforts for just $5. You can hear samples of her fantastic voiceovers at her website.

And then there are joelysmith, a professional numerologist who offers to do a detailed Numerology Reading for only $5;

memoto28, makes soundtrack for your video, advertisement or film for only $5.

And of course Ang – a.k.a Madmoo. madmoo has so many cool gigs, you simply owe it to yourself to visit her Fiverr user page and grab a few. She really is awesome!

There are so many other great women sellers we did not mention, and we apologize for that – we love each and every one of you, seriously! If you like your name mentioned together with a link to your gig, please leave your details in the comments.

There are also many successful and innovative women who focus on buying services for their needs. Here are two:

Kay Zahn – EndHateSpreadJoy.com

This is a great cause. Kay writes in her website: “this is an experiment with a gravely important message. On Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday this year (2011), I wanted to do something to honor his legacy… I did it via a website called Fiverr.com where people list what they will do for $5. Be careful it’s habit forming. Anyway, that day I spent $50 asking people to TWEET my message and refer people to an article that I wrote months ago entitled “How to End Hate and Spread Joy” and they did! It was fun and made me feel good (aka: JOY). So I spent another few Fiverrs on having people share my message by creating it in unusual ways. Or the “old fashioned” way, out in the street with a sign in their hands.”

We love it, and so does the media.

Charleen

Fluffyfiverr
Charleen (a.k.a fluffyfiverr) describes herself: “I levitate 1/132nd inch off the ground. I ride a Segway. (This happens to be true.) I’m determined to build a successful business and sell it before I die”. She is the owner of jcearrings.com and she is the brilliant creator of The Best of Fiverr blog, where she features gigs she orders. She spotlighted so many gigs already that her blog is a goldmine for those looking for some of the great stuff that you can find on Fiverr. Plus – she is an awesome person!

Ladies, we are inspired by you – Happy Women’s Day!
