Unboxing MOO’s New Luxe Business Cards

If you ever bought a new Apple product, you probably went through the magnificent unboxing experience Apple has crafted. Apple has mastered it – they are as meticulous about the package of the product as they are about the product itself.

It doesn’t matter if you end up throwing the package away, the impression that the unboxing experience leaves you with will be forever tied with how you think about the product. There is an unconscious influence that a great package has on the coolness factor of the product itself

Not long ago, I experienced the opposite when I purchased a pair of headphones from a very well known brand. The model I chose was from their high-end series and it had great reviews. This manufacturer is a very reputable headphones maker, and yet the packaging of the product I purchased didn’t say all that. Instead, it gave an overall sense of an OK product, maybe even a little cheap. For me, that was a complete turnoff. It took me some time before I gave the actual headphones a proper chance after struggling to forget the poor unboxing experience.

At Fiverr we always think about that when we have product sessions. We know that if we treat our products with respect and pay endless attention to details, there is a good chance that our customers will treat it with the same respect.

MOO is exactly this type of company – it thinks of every detail, from the order process through shipping to unboxing as a whole. Ordering from MOO is a treat.

Recently, I decided to print up new business cards, largely because MOO sent me an email introducing their new super thick “Luxe” cards. Once the cards arrived I couldn’t resist filming the unboxing experience and sharing it with you. Credit for the design of the cards goes to Tofupanda from Fiverr.

Here goes:

How awesome is that!?

Here is a photo of the business card:

How do you say “I love you” in different languages?

Good day, lovebirds of Fiverr. How art thou on this fine Spring morning? Has your suitor appeared bearing a single white rose yet? Have you scaled the side of a mountain to deliver your loved one a box of Milk Tray? Well we’re happy to report that our Valentine Fiverrs have been super busy over the past fortnight, fulfilling orders and tainting the tip of Cupid’s arrow with their very own love juice!

Andrea, a Fiverr user from Italy used his time running up to V-day resourcefully by purchasing Gigs from video sellers and musicians all over the world, asking them to recite an Italian phrase for his girlfriend. You see poor Andrea’s sweetheart, Georgia moved to Paris a few months ago and his heart has started to ache from her absence. With the collected videos he created a compilation just like the That’s Amore tribute we posted here a couple of weeks back. This was the gift he gave to his fairer half.

Smart-thinking Andrea caught the moment Georgia watched her video for the first time on camera and created this wonderful memento to remember the occasion.

Lovely! Georgia, you’re one very lucky lady! [Wipes away a single tear from our eye.]

We want to know; did you use any Fiverr services to assist in the serenading of your Romeo or Juliet this February 14th? Let us know in the comment section below!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Fiverr.

Happy Gigging, Fiverr!

Fiverr Dot Com

He came, he sky dived, he raised the bar.

If you don’t recognise this happy chappy, then where have you been in the last few months on Fiverr? User Baldy first showed up in the videos section offering an hilarious sky diving promotion video. Within days it gained traction and within a few weeks he was offering several other alter-egos’ video services, including a granny in a supermarket on a scooter and a buck-toothed hillbilly in a caravan. [I kid you not.]

Baldy’s story is an interesting one. I dropped him a line when he first appeared on Fiverr to introduce myself and he was as charming back then as he has always been. Whilst between jobs, he decided to use his hiatus productively and set up a Gig to start earning a bucketful of cash. ‘…Not only does it bring in a much needed income to feed my wife and five children, it keeps this old grey brain active too…’.

What made Baldy’s videos stand out from the rest was his clever use of green screen technology. Offering something unique to his buyers gave him an advantage and pushed sales through the roof. I’ve seen many positive trends happening to Gigs on Fiverr however, what Baldy managed to achieve changed the playing field in terms of quality. He showed the world how to get noticed on Fiverr and become an instant success by providing exceptionally high quality video content.

I’ve recently heard from the sky diving maniac, who got in touch to tell me he’d landed a full time job as a plant manager [Not entirely sure what this is, but I'm imagining Homer Simpson in Mister Burns's nuclear power plant]. I’m delighted for him and feel exceptionally lucky to have met such an inspirational seller on Fiverr, who I believed raised the bar for creative Gigs everywhere.

Before Baldy started his new adventure, I asked him if he could make a video tutorial revealing his behind the scenes secrets on how he actually did it all. I even purchased a Gig for the privilege, although watching it back I think I owe him a few more Fiverrs for the work that went into it:

Thank you Baldy, you’ve been an inspiration and we hope to see you back on Fiverr again some time soon, moistening up that brain of yours.

Snoop Dogg … on Fiverr ?

Is it just us… or does this set up seem pretty familiar to a lot of the Gigs that you can find on Fiverr?

We’re kidding, Mr Dogg isn’t really selling video services on Fiverr (as far as we know) but we’d like him to know that he’s welcome to stop by at Fiverr.com and give it a try if he’s ever short of a bit of cash. We reckon with acting skills like those in the video above, he’d be a hit!

Fiverr User Scoops $1000 first prize in Video Contest

$5 for a video? How about $1000 for a video?!

That’s exactly what happened to Fiverr’s very own yellow celebrity when he won a competition set up by Dashers’ Insurance Services who had been buying video Gigs from selected Fiverr sellers for a competition run by their company.

The brief was simple; to advertise Dashers in a fun, catchy and attention grabbing video. Luckily this is what Fiverr user ProfessorPuppet is perfect at. 56 seconds of pure hilarity is all that was needed to scoop the first placed prize of $1000 from Dashers.

Take a look at his winning entry:

In fact, not only did this win him a sack full of cash, the popularity of ProfessorPuppet’s alter ego was so much so that he also took 2nd place too – Another $500 in the bag! WOW.

What’s more is that Prof. Puppet was not the only video supremo to cash in with Dashers. Fiverr users Krazyretarded and Samcornwell also brought home a cool $450 between them coming 3rd and 5th place respectively.
