We’re kicking off 2012 with a major new feature on Fiverr that is going to be a game-changer for many of you!

The code-ninjas at Fiverr HQ have been working relentlessly, preparing an arsenal of tools to enable even more sellers with the ability to make more money. There are so many hard working entrepreneurs out there striving to deliver top quality Gigs and be Fiverr’s very best, that we can now recognise for their hard work and dedication with our biggest upgrade to Gig selling since… EVER?!

Fiverr heavyweight Professor Puppet stepped up to the role of presenting a short introduction. He’s a great example of a user that has built up a successful Fiverr business from scratch, utilising the tools available to offer high quality Gig content to thousands of happy buyers.

Ladies and gentleman, we bring to you: Fiverr Levels! [Take it away, Professor.]

Excited much? Knew it! Let’s talk details.

Resources previously available to just a handful of selected Top Sellers are now being opened up to the entire Gigging community via Fiverr Levels. There are three different Fiverr Levels as Professor Puppet explained. These are named Level 1, Level 2 and Top Rated Seller.

As you become eligible for these different Levels you will unlock an array of money making tools to use at your disposal. As you continue to grow as a seller on Fiverr, you’ll unlock more features that’ll help you make even more money!

We’ve broken them down for you here:

Yes we know, you’re salivating at the prospect of adding Extras to your Gigs and being able to accept multiple purchases. As long as you’re active on Fiverr and making sales, whilst meeting the above criteria then you can expect to receive an email very soon notifying you on your updated Level 1, 2 or Top Rated Seller status.

You’ll also notice that we’ve given the user interface a facelift in some key areas, improving the overall look of your Gigs and user pages. We won’t show you here, but hope you like the changes!

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts (in the comments below) and are looking forward to seeing you make use of all the new tools at your disposal and turning your Fiverr store into a real income that you can rely on!

Happy Gigging guys!

Becoming a Top Rated Seller

One month ago, one of our featured web experts, Twistedweb123 was promoted on Fiverr to the very sought after Top Rated Seller status. His Gigs on the most part offer practical solutions and much needed criticism for companies or individuals with a presence on the Internet. His main Gig ironically offers to tell buyers what they don’t want to hear by revealing where they went wrong with their website and what can be done to improve it.

Twisted123′s top selling and featured Gig offers buyers an outsider’s insight on improvements that can be made on their website.

After already spending several months as a seller, keeping an impeccable record and having completed many hundreds of sales we felt it would be a great opportunity to catch up with him and see how the experience of making it into the top tier of sellers had been:

Hey Twisted, nice tattoos. (we noticed your other Gig). How’s it going and would you mind having a short conversation with us ?

Hi there, Fiverr! It’s nice to be here in blog format. I read it all the time and have always wanted to be mentioned. It’s funny you should mention my tattoo gig as I’m actually thinking of adding a $20 extra “I will get whatever you want tattooed on me” just to test the full imagination of my fellow Fiverrs. ;-)

When you were made a TRS, was it a surprise? How did it feel?

It was literally like finding out that the numbers on the toaster are not a heat setting, rather a time limited, I was completely shocked. I instantly rang my girlfriend as if I’d just had a big promotion at work (it was past midnight, she was less than thrilled).

How has it affected your sales on Fiverr?

It has been crazy sales wise. I was used to getting 5-10 orders a day, it’s only been a month and I’m already average more than double that.
The option of selling extras and receiving multiple-orders really is the best thing since sliced bread. Seeing orders coming in for more than $5 at first was nerve racking, but it was nothing a good lunar love punch (southern comfort, WKD blue & Apple sourz… Try it seriously) couldn’t get me powering through!

As a source of income, how important is Fiverr now you’re a Top Rated Seller?

To me, when I first joined Fiverr, it was all about the networking opportunities. $5 may be a small fee for a big product, but the opportunity to meet thousands of like minded business people was priceless.
Now, ‘TRS’ has not only increased my networking, but it has also bought on so many opportunities and requests for services I don’t even offer. The increase in my Fiverr income has literally overtaken my usual day job. Each of my gigs is literally like my child, and every time I receive feedback they mature in age and wisdom.

You’ve only been a TRS for a month, but could you tell us how you see your future as a seller on Fiverr?

At the moment, as you mentioned, most of my gigs are business related but I’m a big kid at heart. I really want to start broadening my scope and become more creative. There are so many great categories on Fiverr, I really want to offer a unique service in each and help build this amazing community.

Any final thoughts?

All I can think to say is quick message to my buyers: I love feedback and depend on it to live, please take just a moment to leave some when finishing orders as it really does mean a great deal to me.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy Fiverr schedule to speak to us. If you’d like to speak with Twistedweb123 and find out what sort of advice he could offer to improve your website, visit his Gig page here.
