In creating these guardrails for everything created on Fiverr, whether it’s a graphic design, translation, or partnership, everyone will benefit. We’re not only a marketplace, we’re a community built on respect, transparency, and quality. We value the independence and strength of our users, and want to give them an environment in which they can thrive. Here’s how we can get there:

Seller Quality Guidelines:

Your Fiverr presence, from your profile to your Gig, should accurately reflect who you are, including your expertise, experience level, and authentic examples of your work. Your credibility and success on Fiverr depend on your transparency.

Successful communication at Fiverr means treating your buyers with respect and remembering that there’s a person behind each order. Train yourself to think from a buyer’s point of view and try to anticipate their needs. In doing so, you’ll build relationships with buyers, get repeat customers and grow your business.

Managing your orders means more than just a providing a great delivery. Throughout the order process, be communicative and make yourself available to address any questions or issues.

Treat revisions as a natural part of the delivery process.

Good work earns positive feedback. Please don’t ask for positive feedback if you haven’t earned it, and learn from the constructive feedback you receive.

We expect buyers and sellers to be respectful with each other, transparent and fair. We treat reports of misbehavior on the platform seriously. For your protection, we ask you to keep transactions on the Fiverr platform so that we can protect you against abusive behavior.

Buyer Quality Guidelines:

Read and understand the description of the services that a seller offers before you place an order. In case the offering described on the Gig is unclear, you can always contact a seller in advance of ordering to clarify and avoid a misunderstanding.

Keep in mind that sellers receive a high volume of messages from buyers. They will respond most promptly to clear, polite requests.

Many sellers on Fiverr offer free revisions. Take this into consideration when ordering the Gig and feel free to take advantage of them in order to get exactly what you want, within the scope of the original service purchased.

Your review helps other buyers make a decision. Please try to be as fair and transparent as possible when leaving a review on a seller.

This needs to be pinned in the forum for all to read. One of the top things I come across often on the forums is how Sellers never receive feedback of any kind after completing specified tasks for their Buyers. Then there are also Buyers who prefer not to leave feedback because their experience and or feelings are somewhere in the middle of positive and negative. Then, of course, there are Sellers that don’t want a single spec of negative feedback on their profile and would rather cancel an order all together. I am “Digital Image Editing” service seller and I have tried my very best to clear all my offer specifically like how much image I do for one gig and what type of. But unfortunately it’s a common issue now, the buyer order inappropriate quantity or difficulties of images for one gig. I couldn’t satisfy a buyer because I was asleep when he asked a question. Mind you, It was midnight my time. I woke up the next morning only to find a freakish 1star review for a job I tried to deliver and even told him I was open for revisions if he had any issues with it. I went as far as chatting him up after he accepted the delivery and gave me a 1star. I told him to pls send any issues he has or clarify so I can fix the problem. Thanks for the article, I totally agree. You have to give your buyers a full buying experience. Besides the best quality product you can give them, you have to give them your best costumer service. One dosent go without the other.
