I really don’t know where to start with this, so the beginning might be a good place.
Have you ever wanted to marry your pet? (See, this feels like it’s going in the wrong direction already.) Well, long term Fiverr user Haleylujah wanted just that; to marry her cute little cat George Constanza and declare her declaration of love to her pretty little feline friend.
Well, that’s at least what Haleylujah wanted after finding this very eccentric Fiverr Gig on offer by ilovekittens:
Now, it would be a mighty shame not to have a record of such a beautiful occasion. Every wedding has a photographer, sometimes even a videographer. The marriage of Haleylujah and Mr Constanza is no different at all!
The tech savvy bride, (that’s Haleylujah in case you were unsure which one was which) took it upon herself to record the entire ceremony so the happy pair would be able to treasure it forever. Not only that, it was uploaded to Youtube so the entire world could have access to this joyous occasion!
Have a look at the Youtube video below to watch events unfold. The ‘ordained vicar’ asks questions like “do you promise to feed your cat, play with your cat and hug your cat every day?” as George appears to be getting cold feet. We’re delighted to hear though, that the pair are still happily cat and wife.
Sadly, ilovekittens has since suspended her cat marriage Gig, but not to worry, you’ll still find loads of other fun ideas on her Fiverr page!
Isn’t the Fiverr community just GREAT? There’s very few other places on the Internet (if any) that can inspire this kind of bizarre hilarity ! If you’ve got a story to share like this, we’d love to hear from you in the comments below…
This is what we like to hear: Two Fiverr users, one a buyer, the other a seller striking up a formidable trading relationship in our neat little corner of the Internet (We know it’s not a corner, we just liked the phrase).
It was some time back in April 2011 that Fiverr user BaronBob discovered our very own veteran video starlet Samcornwell and his high-quality video Gigs.
This week Samcornwell will be delivering his 100th personalised video to Baronbob, a milestone to say the least. It’s wonderful to hear that users are connecting in such a successful way on Fiverr, achieving real partnerships and trading relationships. Congratulations to the both of them!
Hey, Baronbob, thanks for agreeing to talk to us about your experiences with Fiverr. We’ve heard from Fiverr user Samcornwell that you and him have had a landmark sale. 100 videos purchased by your site Baronbob.com! Congratulations! I’m not worthy!
Firstly, what do you do and why do you need the services on Fiverr? “I have owned and operated BaronBob.com – possibly the world’s wackiest gift gallery since 1998. The services of Fiverr.com are really an excellent and affordable way of getting fun-tastic content for my website.”
How many Fiverr sellers did you try before realising you wanted Samcornwell to represent your company? “I had ordered only a few Fiverr gigs and then I viewed Sam’s 1st video he did for me, I almost fell out of my wacky warehouse with laughter. I knew at that very moment I wanted Sam to be our spokes guy. Now with 100 videos I can sum up Sam Cornwell in one word, GUTS – (genius, ultimate, terrific, savvy) (okay, I can’t count). Simply said, “Sam is my go to guy for greatness!”
What’s your favourite purchase from Fiverr.com? “All of Sam’s videos he has done for me are of an excellence. Sam has GREAT directing, comedic timing, character acting, and editing skills. Three of my favorite videos that come to mind are all from Samcornwell…”
Remote Controlled Rat Video Sam walks into the camera frame playing a flute and asks, “Do you know who I am?” Watch the video for the answer.
Fanny Floss Video Sam has some real cheeky fun explaining this item! Watch the video for some priceless, simulated, sound effects.
Toilet Monster Video Sam is at his best as he explains this incredible prank. CAUTION: Before viewing, if you’re sipping a large glass of wine please put it down on the table.
“I think the whole concept of Fiverr.com is freakin’ brilliant. It’s really a great platform – no actually a spring board for the unsung talent to be recognized and compensated. Not to mention the economy woos of the world, the service can really make a difference. I’ll never forget a fan of my Facebook Wall that expressed how she really loved an item; I told her it’s now available for sale. She told me unfortunately juice in her household is a luxury. I sent the item to her for free. It’s tough out there and I think Fiverr should be commended for such a super ease of entry – showcasing talent – affordable – killer sales channel! GO FIVERR.COM!!”

Have you seen this image that recently went viral? Perhaps you’ve seen something similar with a different crop or with words added. You may even have this as your profile picture on Facebook right now.
Of course it is none other than Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple who sadly passed away early this morning after a long battle with cancer. Steve Jobs’ silhouette is cleverly depicted in replacement of the ‘missing piece’ of Apple in the iconic logo.
So what’s the story behind this simple, but brilliant design?
Well it just so happens that we have a Fiverr user in our midst who knows the creator personally. Cappuccino and spaghetti artist Madmoo was able to give us a small insight into Jonathan Mak’s design.
Madmoo tells us that surprisingly the logo wasn’t made in tribute to Steve Jobs passing away, but in fact to signify the stepping-down of the CEO last August. It was to show, in his own words “a piece missing from the Apple”. Further research leads us to Jonmak’s Tumblr blog where it was first posted on August 26th 2011.
Amongst all of the messages, interviews and job offers (yes, Mr Mak even had offers of real work!) Madmoo was able to ask if he felt overwhelmed by all of the attention, and his reply was just as simple as the design – “You have no idea”.
Is it just us… or does this set up seem pretty familiar to a lot of the Gigs that you can find on Fiverr?
We’re kidding, Mr Dogg isn’t really selling video services on Fiverr (as far as we know) but we’d like him to know that he’s welcome to stop by at Fiverr.com and give it a try if he’s ever short of a bit of cash. We reckon with acting skills like those in the video above, he’d be a hit!
That’s exactly what happened to Fiverr’s very own yellow celebrity when he won a competition set up by Dashers’ Insurance Services who had been buying video Gigs from selected Fiverr sellers for a competition run by their company.
The brief was simple; to advertise Dashers in a fun, catchy and attention grabbing video. Luckily this is what Fiverr user ProfessorPuppet is perfect at. 56 seconds of pure hilarity is all that was needed to scoop the first placed prize of $1000 from Dashers.
Take a look at his winning entry:
In fact, not only did this win him a sack full of cash, the popularity of ProfessorPuppet’s alter ego was so much so that he also took 2nd place too – Another $500 in the bag! WOW.
What’s more is that Prof. Puppet was not the only video supremo to cash in with Dashers. Fiverr users Krazyretarded and Samcornwell also brought home a cool $450 between them coming 3rd and 5th place respectively.

If you’re predominantly a buyer on Fiverr and have been using creative services like this for your own business, we’d love to hear your story. Leave a message in the comments below so we can get back to you.
This is such a great story we just had to share it with you. Fiverr user SarahSunshine came to the site five months ago with one aim; to be more comfortable in front of the lens. If you’ve seen any of her Gigs on Fiverr you’ll instantly recognize her as the pretty blonde girl from LA that looks like a movie star. Well, that’s certainly what we thought when we first saw her!
Sarah began her acting career making short videos for companies and individuals on Fiverr and like many other creative video sellers her confidence grew exponentially. Several hundred positive video reviews later and it wasn’t long before Sarah started getting all kinds of offers from filmmakers and directors.
Recently, Sarah was asked to star in a short horror movie called ‘T for Torment’ by filmmaker Gilbert ‘JT’ Juarez. Naturally, this ties in perfectly with Halloween just around the corner (we’ll talk about that soon).
We think Sarah is an absolute natural in front of the lens, especially as it’s her debut. If you check out the movie you’ll see why:
What we love about this story is that Fiverr has given Sarah the platform in which to grow and learn new skills and as a result start to achieve her dream of becoming a Hollywood star. It may be a small beginning but, it’s definitely a giant step in the right direction. Although Sarah has all of her video Gigs currently suspended, we are reliably informed that she is soon to make a comeback on Fiverr. :-)
Here’s a heads up for all of our wonderful Fiverr peeps! Next week we will be starting a brand new feature in which one of our beloved users will be crowned ‘Fiverr of the Week’. They will be featured in a special weekly blog post and have their Gigs celebrated on our Facebook page.
Our community is filled with so much talent, diversity, fun and creativity. It seems only right to start giving back to you guys in this way so you can have your very own fiverr minutes of fame. Also, try to keep it to yourselves, but we’re working on a prize to give away too. All will be revealed very soon. Exciting, huh?
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Do you think that you know someone worthy of the Fiverr spotlight? Leave a comment below with their username and we’ll take a long hard look at their Gigs and feedback for future consideration.
Check out this short news bulletin from On Minute News that speaks of an outrageous plan by Bank of America to start charging customers who use debit cards $5 a month for the privilege. They do however go on to mention a rather conveniently named FIVERR.COM as a possible solution :-)
Thanks guys, we loved the video and your presenter is hilarious! While we’re never happy to hear that banks are charging more, we certainly agree with your suggestion of using Fiverr to offset the costs!
Not only are we constantly being amazed by the spirit shown by creative members of the Fiverr community, we are also humbled at times too. Recently we discovered this very cute animation by LonricDemos which did a pretty good job in explaining how Fiverr works for both buyers and sellers.
Check it out:
What we find so incredible is that these guys went and did something off their own backs for Fiverr that obviously required a lot of time and effort to put together.
A big thank you to the team at LonricDemos. At Fiverr HQ we simply had no idea you were creating this animation and think that the gesture is awesome.
If you’ve spent time making something creative for Fiverr, we’d love to hear from you. Either leave a comment below this blog post or drop us an email on our feedback page: www.fiverr.com/feedback
