Last year, we were thrilled to announce our global sponsorship of the G1 Racing Series by Griiip, a racing innovation company that’s democratizing access to the world of motorsports.
Fiverr designers created custom liveries for many of the Griiip drivers, and we also held a global design competition to award one lucky designer with a free trip to Italy to see their winning design race on the track.
Of course, the world has changed a lot since last year, and the world of motorsports in particular has been transformed by the effects of COVID-19. Nonetheless, Fiverr is excited to announce that we are once again partnering with Griiip to sponsor their 2020 G1 Virtual Series Championship.
While all in-person races have been canceled this year, Griiip has seamlessly transitioned to an all digital / virtual model, following their mission to bring motorsports to the masses by using technology to lower the barriers of entry. Griiip will host the virtual races on the rFactor2 digital racing platform, with the series producer World Pro Racing.
The G1 Virtual Series will have both an amateur and professional categories, with drivers competing for a €5000 prize pool thanks to Fiverr. The first races begin on Friday, May 15th and will be livestreamed on Facebook, YouTube and WPR’s Twitch Channel.
