Here’s how it works:
1) Lights, Cameras, Action
Get creative! Show us what you’ve bought with your Fiverr money. Create a fun, festive or frivolous video showing us the goods and telling us all about it. Videos need to be 50 seconds or less and freakin’ awesome – Your imagination is the limit.
2) Email Away
Send a copy (or zipped copy) of your videos to contest@fiverr.com.
Please put “Fiverr Holiday Video” in the subject box and include your Fiverr username in the body.
Entries close at midnight, November 25th.
3) Sharing is Caring
On Thursday, November 29th your videos will be uploaded on Fiverr’s YouTube Channel…. and now things get interesting.
Above every video there is a ‘subscribe’ button to the Fiverr YouTube Channel.
The video that brings the most genuine subscribers will be our ultimate winner. This means you get the new iPad Mini and the rights to jump up and down screaming “I am the ultimate winner!”
Share your videos with your friends, family or random strangers, in the race to the finish line.
The competition will close at midnight on Sunday, December 9th. The winner will be announced soon after.

I agree with you… I know computer geeks that would kill this contest with no effort and could do so with only being on fiverr a short time with one gig and no sells. Hackers can do anything. Not to mention there are fiverr gigs what can even get you votes like this. ;) good idea though but maybe should be better though out to ensure fairness.

The right thing to do is to make people comment+subscribe. The comment would be “Vote” or something. Then see the most commented video to decide your winner.

I am an active Fiverr member. Mostly on the purchase side. While my story may not be as mind blowing as others, I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to Fiverr and the many professional sellers on the site.
I recently started my app build business, and with a very limited budget, have been able to purchase Fiverr gigs for ad mock ups, flyers, brochures, promo videos, etc. All the sellers I have bought gigs from have been top notch. I am very happy with the professionalism of the sellers and on the finished products delivered.

hmm, i’m already down two strikes. i don’t really do videos and i’m fairly annoyed by contests where the “public” votes on things, because i don’t have 65,000 facebook friends to help me. whatever happened to having judges?

Nice contest! But the selection of the winner won’t fair I think! There’re a lot of way to get subscribers. Though Fiverr will count only genuine but it’s hard to different!

When someone subscribes to a youtube channel its hard to tell where subscriptions came from and what person they came from.

I’m no good in front of a video camera so already know I wouldn’t win, but my Fiverr income has enabled me to leave an office job where I was just a number, and allowed me to have fun with my life, so I’d say rather than me buying anything with my income, Fiverr has bought me freedom and happiness and you can’t put a price on that really.
You can send me an iPad mini though if you feel like it – I certainly would have room for a little more happiness! :)
YOU don’t have to be in front of the camera. You can get creative with your video.
I’m no good behind the video either! I’ll leave it to the professionals – though I too am concerned about the ‘real’ votes aspect too – I’ve seen too many of these contests that end in farce and tears. There are so many ways around it I’m sure.
It’ll be interesting to watch but I’m counting myself out of this one.

Great contest but I won’t be doing any entree. The only things my Fiverr money typically goes toward is my student loans and food for my household.

Well it’s a nice way to promote sellers and I’m sure they have check and balances in place to eliminate fraudulent votes and if they don’t I recommend they purchase a Fiverr gig from one of the sellers on Fiverr ha-ha-ha.
Anyways I think it’s nice to offer this contest for the sellers but what about people like me the Fiverr Buyers? Wouldn’t it be nice to also promote your buyers seems only logical to offer a separate contest for us buyers.

I think this is a great contest. And to have the opportnity to own an Apple product is really neat. To me Fiverr has definately helped I left corporate america a year ago then started looking for avenues I guess you can say a deffinate leap of faith. I am fulltime on Fiverr and get to spend alot more time with my son. Its not alot but It sure pays off for not having to punch someone elses clock, stay late and pretend like your listening in meetings that talk about other meetings . I definately love this life better and I have adapted.
I´ve sold 4 Gigs till now and i will buy other Gigs with the earned money. I think fiverr is a great idea and here are only great and friendly people. I love it!!!

I got informed about fiverr.com during my search of getting into online marketing. Upon the very first day I got in I fell in love with the site. It is so amazing to get all those talents together. We make such a great team. I have bought banners, PLR documents for my blog, modified pictures with photoshop, used the services to get traffic to my sites – and it all work so perfectly I could not even believe it. One seller I got in contact with was so flexible – he even offered free work in case he would get late on delivery time. Fiverr is certainly a wonderful great service website, and yes, people can make some clean money online without investing a dime. I have been scammed so many times (and had to ask for a refund right away) I am happy that I have found fiverr. I never had to ask for a refund. Instead, I receive more for my cheap 5 bucks.
Once again, kudos for all of your GREAT talents (@sellers), and Hoorray for this wonderful idea to pull the talents together in one place for the common interest of all.

I would love to enter this contest, but it isn’t a fair one. I just started on Fiverr, and although I love it, I have not gotten any payments yet. Any contest that is based upon others reactions, instead of my own merits, is not one I could ever have a chance at winning. Yes, I am thoughtful, and creative, but this is just a big popularity contest, and not one based upon creativity.
I have 48 dollars sitting in my account, due to be available next week, That’s not too shabby for my first week on a site where I wasn’t sure at first if I would even get noticed. However, that leaves me ineligible for the contest anyway.. nothing yet to show with my winnings.
While I would love a chance at the prize, I see now that it is not possible. Thank you anyway.
