Fiverr Super Seller: Twistedweb123

Congrats twistedweb123 for being our first Super Seller!

Adam, a.k.a twistedweb123 is a Top Rated Seller who has made over $16,000 on Fiverr by offering a range of services from web banners to business tips.

When we saw that one of his Gigs reached over 1,000 positive reviews with zero negative reviews, we had to share it with you guys. Doesn’t this look awesome!

Fiverr Positive Reviews

So, for sure you’re asking yourself – How did he manage these ratings and how can I get it? We asked Adam if he would share some of his methods with the community and he was happy to do so.

Here are some tips from Adam on how he keeps such good ratings.

1. Provide Clear Gig Instructions

You need to make sure your Gig instructions are well written. There are a few rules I follow when writing instructions:

  • Break it down into steps for the buyer. Giving them clear steps to follow will help buyers understand the information you need and make it easy for them to provide it.
  • You may be working on a computer, but treat customers like you would in real life, make that personal connection. All of my instructions end with a thank you message and my name. From then on, 90% of buyers reference my name back to me. This also helps with repeat customers. I’ll often get former customers connecting with me through messages on a first name basis.
  • Keep your instructions up to date. As you work more, you may realize some buyers miss things, or certain aspects have changed.

For example: I create Twitter backgrounds with installation as a Gig extra. To perform the installation, I need the buyer’s login details. I noticed a lot of orders were coming in with the extra purchase, but no one was providing the login details. This slowed down my order delivery times. I amended that, which further shaved down my delivery time, making it both cost effective for me and quick for the buyer.

2. Offer Good Customer Service

I would be lying if I said I never had a bad buyer or experience. I think the true testament of a seller is how they handle it. This weeds the serious sellers out from the fly-by-night. If a buyer is unhappy, I offer numerous options in stages:

  1. When applicable, I offer to make changes as per their request or offer personal consultation via messages. Don’t forget, your time and experience is worth money.
  2. If changes cannot be made, I offer to provide a Gig extra (usually between $5-$10) for free.
  3. If this is declined, I offer to provide another Gig at a discount/or free.
  4. If this can still not be settled, I usually offer a refund. It depends on the situation. If I feel I have done my best and the buyer made no indication of being unhappy during the order, I will contact support for help. I never mark an order as complete unless I am 100% confident they will love it.

As a seller, don’t get mad and more importantly, do not leave the buyer negative feedback, this will just fuel the fire. Always contact the buyer to see exactly what the problem was. Based on their reply, you’ll know how to move forward.

I have seen myself stretching over days to complete an order through messages/revisions. This may sound like overkill, but while the difficult buyers are usually the hardest to please and have the highest standard; when they leave happy, they’ll recommend you as a seller to others.

3. Turning Negative Feedback into a Positive

This has happened once or twice, in my earlier days. Generally, when creating a new Gig, you won’t know how good it is until others sample it, so I want to hear the buyer’s feedback.

When I start a new Gig, I NEVER auto mark it as complete until I hear exactly what the buyer thinks. I then use their feedback to tweak the Gig and make it perfect for the future.

It is important to invest this time when offering a new Gig. After the tweaks on the individual order and as a whole, I am able to thank them for their constructive feedback, deliver to them a great product and in return receive great feedback.

  • Seems to be some great info which I can improvise on my gigs. Although I am using some of them for myself. The secret is to treat nobody as a customer. Just make them your friend and the ball is in your court always!

  • great Tips…. and Congratzz broooo…. !!! :D :D :D

  • All great advice there Adam – well done and keep on keeping on!

  • wow that’s commendable. A great achievement. I do follow these instructions but I have problem marketing it!! Anyways Good day :)

  • TWISTEDWEB123!!!

I agree!! A totally AWESOME choice for Fiverr’s first Fiverr Super Seller!!

I have bought from Adam on numerous occasions and he NAILED it every time, over-delivering, just totally exceeding my expectations!!

Even when I was a newbie, back over a year ago, Adam was there to offer me such great advice and creative suggestions…and I am not the only one…Adam has been helping others for such a long time, and I am so glad to see that he has been honored with such a coveted feature, that he so richly deserves!!

    RIGHT ON ADAM!! *thumbs up*

  • Adam - TwistedWeb123

To say I’m proud to be the first Fiverr Super Seller is a major understatement!

    • It’s only fitting that the first Fiverr Super Seller be named ADAM! Impressive gigs, fabulous PR attitude…U make even the angels proud!

    • Marko - OranjeWebDesigns

Well deserved mate, your work quality and attention to detail is what makes you stand out over the rest.

I will continue to recommend people to you rather than anyone else.

      Tip of the Cap.

    • Very well deserved. I’m catching up though – only 775 more completed gigs without a bad review and I’ll be knocking on your door! :)

  • Congrats Adam!! That is awesome :D

  • Exceptional job! Well deserved.

  • I was not moved in anyway until I looked at his negative reviews. Adams you are the man to learn from.

    Congratulations!!!

    • Adam - TwistedWeb123

Unfortunately I picked up a couple of negatives for late delivery when my son was born, but I am trying to work with the buyers to amend the situation :)

      • Hi Adam!
Congratulations! By the way, I am trying to reach people in Australia for my business. And I would love to know from you how you can help me with this and how much you charge. I am involved with the company that is I am not shy of sharing about it. So, please let me know how can i share this to people in Australia/New Zealand.Hope to hear from you soon.

    • good idea!

  • congrats adam, fantastic, i will follow these instruction, i facing problem of getting order. by d way nice work, thank u

  • Great information!

  • Congratz Adam… you’ve kicked butt from some time. It’s nice to see a great seller like you on Fiverr.

  • I’m moved! I’m amused! Why I can not, now I understand. Thanks.

  • Congratulations Adam! As much as we think we know, there is always something to be learned and I got new ideas (and inspiration) from this! Wishing you lots more success!

  • Congratulations! You are right. It’s totally in the customer service and your willingness to work with (not against) what each client needs.

Having clear instructions doesn’t always mean they won’t have even more questions (or questions you’ve answered but maybe they didn’t really read closely – or at all).

Gracious, professional, courteous. All great business foundations.

Makes me want to go see what you offer :)

  • Great work TwistedWeb123

Hope you get your name in lights

    BillMillion

  • I’m sure there was some luck involved you failed to mention.

    • Adam - TwistedWeb123

You may consider luck to help with orders, but this isn’t the case. If you offer a sought after product or service, with good customer skills, you will see a good amount of orders.

The initial difficult bit is perfecting the product/service. This is why I suggest to look for feedback from your buyers on a new gig, before you mark it as complete. You can then tailor your gig to what your customer base wants.

You may be lucky (or have the knowledge) to create a winning gig off the bat, but with numerous competitors and a quick changing market, you still need to work hard and keep up-to-date to improve.

You also need to achieve those first orders to create a snowball effect – this is also based on strategy. Always start your leadtimes low, work your socks off and rack up good feedback early. New gigs get good exposure, use that to your advantage and complete as many as you can asap. Then, when the exposure dies down, you will have a popular searchable gig, a good client base and possibly have a chance to be featured.

  • Here is a hot tip to keep buyers happy?

Always try to suprize them and give them just that little bit extra.

They really appreciate it if they were not expecting it.

    BillMillion

  • I just signed up as a seller today. It is great so see this post and read about the tips. Great job, by the way! Congrats!

  • Way to go Adam! Thanks for the success advice.

  • You Are Great! Congrats…

  • Congratulations Adam. Great accomplishment! I will second two things offered above.

Never leave negative feedback for a customer as it gets you nowhere. Even when a customer leaves negative feedback without allowing you to fix a problem they may have…remember what you mama told you…if you don’t have anything good to say, say nothing at all!

Always, always try to over deliver and maintain good communications with your clients. It will pay off in good reviews and increased sales.

  • Thank you for sharing these useful tips Adam!
    Congrats & Happy Giging :)

  • Congratulations! Nice work

  • You’re a great inspiration to fiverr’s sellers Adam. Thank you for sharing those valuable tips. Congrats and keep up the good work!

  • congrats Bro.. and thanks a lot for the great tips!

  • That is great I also have made more than that and have 2000 positive reviews and 0 negative. Congrats though that is great!! To the person that said there was luck involved you are 100 percent wrong anyone that reaches our level works incredibly hard.

  • Awesome advice !! Congrats..This is great motivation..

  • Wooh! He gave me super tips, I never thought like Converting Negative Feedbacks into Positive ones. He’s really amazing and powerful guy when it comes to thinking. And I got few more tips to write my Description too. I’ll use them right now.

    Thanks Mate!
    Nathaniel.

  • Hi and nice tips mate =)

But how about if our gig competitors just want to sabotage our gigs in Fiverr?

E.g: Order our gig and leave “-” feedback.

    What should we do then?

    • Adam - TwistedWeb123

Unfortunately this has actually happened to me once, this would be a case where I contact support. I sent the buyer the product, asked if their were any revisions – he said he really liked it, and then left a negative after completing. If a feedback is totally unfair or unjustified, Fiverr support is there to help :)

      • Thanks a lot mate!

Yeahh, Fiverr Support Team is always there to help us =)

Kudos to you mate and good luck on your sales!

      • No, they aren’t. That only works if you’re a top rated seller. I got one negative from a buyer that didn’t make sense even though I did everything 100% correctly, as I had 400 times before with the same gig. The support even agreed with me but said they couldn’t remove the negative without the buyers consent. There is NO protection against bad buyers for “normal” sellers anymore, unfortunately.

  • Excellent work my friend. I just got level 2 today and one day, I’ll be part of the elite that you achieved.

  • All good information I am working to get to your level so watch your back I will catch up to you in time. I have been getting great feedback because I under promise and over deliver always.

  • congrats bro, well deserved! Keep making this a great community for buyers and sellers alike!

  • finally, i’ve been waiting for this! Thank u, adam ^_^…ur steps r very clear. n exactly answering most of questions inside my head for all of this times. n thanx fiverr to provide this fiverr super seller. congratz!!! ^^

  • Great Work! twistedweb123 :)

  • these r what i’ve been doing to chase my rating. but still few question inside my head:
    1. keep promoting gigs
    2. inbox buyers who were ordering many gigs for long term to view my new gig (usually, they’re hard, has high standard, sometimes asking what’s not offered, uneasy to b pleased, but loyal if u give them good services, they’ll bring me many of their relations or friends to order). i send message via inbox, describing my new gig, insert attachment of sample n put the link to direct them to view it. n for kinda “harder” buyers, who has more high standard n always wanting more n more service, i give them offer like order 2 get 1 free. or free bonus for they 1st order on my new gig. i only do this if i have less of orders. coz if i have lots of orders, i might have ran out of time already. n i don’t know is it right to b done?
    3. im still confuse to classify xtras category. i make drawing. so i separate “xtra for background”, “xtra for colour”, “xtra for text”. coz each of them has risk that might cause me so many revisions. coz i use to drawing for story illustration, need consistent appearance n related characters that must look the same even when we see them from different angles. but with so many xtras, it seems xpensive. n so many competitors here. anyone who can help me about arranging gig n all of its xtras? if super seller provides gig (or Adam or anyone who do drawing too)for this question, i’ll order right away). Helping me about arranging COST n XTRAS. Thank u ^^

    • Here are some tips about using your Gig extras: http://lnkd.in/2NgE7V
      I hope it helps!

    • Adam - TwistedWeb123

If revisions are taking up a lot of your time and effecting the price of your extras as well, have you thought about limiting the revisions you provide? We all want happy customers, but do not overwork yourself. Have you considered offering “tweaks” for free, whilst having revisions as a gig extra in itself?

If you undersell yourself, it will undersell your product. However, if you stay firm on pricing and have set guidelines, your product will have a greater value and buyers will appreciate revisions (apart from slight tweaks) are going to cost a little extra.

Having a lot of revisions also comes down to your gig instructions. Make sure they are clear and requesting everything you need to complete the order. This way, if revisions are needed, you can justify the extra order – as you did state your instructions clearly

      • Congrats Adam and thanks very much for the tips…..I want to support this comment. I came into that situation where I really did not want to undersell myself, but between revising and timing I realized that it was/is better to offer your services within a specific scope. If a buyer request a service outside of the set scope, I politely let them know that certain services I normally offer for a higher price because they require a great deal of time and effort and I am unable to offer it through Fiverr. If the buyer is adamant about having me provide the service (usually with repeat customers) then I try my best to make arrangements to meet their needs.

  • Congrats! :)

  • Congratulations. Maybe we can make a living on fiverr!

  • Very nice seller i like him.

  • It’s a unbelievable task.I welcome him.

  • Congratulations Adam!

You have created the “perfect” storm (in a good way). You understand and provide EXCELLENT customer service AND create an excellent product in a reasonable time-frame for a reasonable price.

I just found Adam’s services last week and paid a small amount to have him look at my web site and share problems that needed fixing in order to improve the site experience for visitors. He did send the report. A few things he pointed out I was aware of, others I wasn’t. Adam didn’t just tell me what was wrong, he gave me ideas of how to fix the problems. Thing is I’m not a web designer. It takes all my spare time to create content for the site. Without asking for more business, Adam’s work ethic, patience in email responses, expertise, delivery an “no pressure” upselling converted me to ask him to PLEASE do ALL the work suggested, and more, on my site.

This post is about Adam and his amazing accomplishment, therefore I’m not posting my website url as I don’t want anyone to think this post is written insincerely in order to generate traffic to my site. However, if he wants to use my site for “before” and “after” comparisons to showcase the quality and creativity of his work, he has my permission to do so. I can’t wait to see the transformational work he’s doing for my site. I know it will be awesome.

  • Adam deserves to succeed, he really knows what customer service truly means. Congrats. Adam. You are a pro.

  • Congrats! I think the key word for all gigs, buyers and sellers is COMMUNICATION, if everyone stays in contact then the gig will be delivered successfully.. Way to go

  • Amazing achievement Adam, I will definitely be ordering some of your gigs in the future, plus I will definitely be recommending your skills to others.

    Keep up the good work

  • Celeste Lingford (Reinvent_It)

I just love your feedback on keeping customers happy. It is lovely to connect with a like minded seller. You rock Adam!

  • You are a legend!! Congratulations!!!

  • Great Job Dude.

  • Congrats Adam!

What people who are reading this post may not realize, is that Adam not only over delivers on his gigs, he over delivers on promoting fiverr as a community.

He is the true definition of a Super Seller. A much deserved award.

  • house extension london

I had no idea you could make so much money with fiverr. This is ecellent, but most importantly I like the concept of tweaking my gigs based on customer feedback. duh! It’s s obvious but sometimes the best ideas are the simplest. Thanaks for the tips! good on you.

    • Adam - TwistedWeb123

I think when people may first see a critical comment, they initially become defense of their product and/or service, which is understandable.

However, the best thing to do in these kind of situations is to take the emotion out of it and stay objective – tricky to do, but worth the rewards.

Some people pay $1000′s for customer feedback, here @ Fiverr, we can strip down our product/service, test market and rebuild it… and the customer is paying US to do so!

  • adam, this is AWESOME . based upon this, i will be ordering. i am curious WHICH GIG has the 1,000 positive review ?? thx you adam, truly an inspiration !

  • Congratulations Adam and with those tips it is easy to see why you are a Super Seller. I am a buyer and those are all my biggest frustrations. Poor to no instructions, not getting personal (no idea what their name is etc) and all the other great tips you have given Fiverr Sellers.

Keep up the great work and now off to view your gigs.

  • Great achievement adams.. :)

  • Wow! I never though there could be such a possibility. But it really sounds weird how come despite the thing that everybody does he still manages to stand out of the crowd. Arrgh!

  • Congratulations Adam! Great job! I appreciated what you had to say. As a buyer I am very disappointed when sellers keep saying the order is delivered when it is not, and then it marks completed and I am unable to contact them.

  • Congratulations Adam! Thanks for the great tips, I am already using some of these tips but you surely upgraded my knowledge. You are brilliant!

  • Congratulations, Adam!!

  • Great Job…!Keep it up.

  • Great job Adam.

    Inspiring story…

I could leave a longer comment, but I usually charge 5 bucks to do it :)

  • This is amazing! Adam, congrats my friend! Also, I’m always honest with people when I can’t do something, I always add something or tell them before-hand. I let them know what is going on and how long it will be. If something happens, like an unforeseen circumstance, I will tell them and most the time if they seem unhappy I will do an extra service or something extra like add more time, adding anything onto it that would save them money is always a great thing cause you want those 100% ratings! I know I do!

  • You’re an inspiration, Adam! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Awesome job Adam. I’ll be sending some business your way.

  • if you don’t have anything good to say, say nothing at all!

  • You deserve to be.
    Congratulations!

  • 1000 positive reviews and 0 negative, is that even humanly possible?! Great job!

  • Congratulations

  • Nice one adams, i am really happy for you, well ofcourse you workd hard, i hope to work hard as well, i’m just on level ……hope to become super like you someday.. cheers

  • Congratulations Adam and many thanks for your advices!

  • Congrats Adam or twistedweb123!

Yes, the important thing you mentioned is Customer Service. Taking care of each buyer as well as each member through inbox conversation is a MUST.

I personally do great service and many clients posted it on their feedbacks. I take time to reply to each question, even if it’s just an inbox message.

Same thing for me about personal info: I have a gig for Building Amazon Astore where I ask clients for their login details. About 10% of them were a little bit not ready for sharing these info, so I recommended them 2 options: Attach a text file with requested info or send an Invitation to my Amazon account. And, in this way, all are ok!

Try to always find an alternative to a problem.

We are all (most) here Newbies and we all need help in certain expertise.

We are a great community here, let’s develop it and grow and grow and…. make some money!

At this time, I’ve earned $3617. Thanks for Fiverr and my clients!

    Good luck to everyone!

  • Congratulations! Thank you for the advices!

  • wow Adam i’m fairly new but I wish i read this before I started great advice! I’ll use every bit and hope to get some good feed back!

  • Congratulations Adam and keep up the good work :)

  • Congratulation and thanks for the tips already following many of them and many of them are keeping as reminder. Really helpful tips.

  • Good work! I already have been using those tips before they were posted. (Common sense isn’t so common I suppose. XD )

But I also close my gigs after a while especially when they get in the way of my actual writing job. XD

  • I think that is among the most significant info for me. And i’m glad studying your article. However want to commentary on some general issues, The website style is wonderful, the articles is really excellent : D. Excellent process, cheers

  • Great Job Adam, As a buyer and never sold anything, I can say I look for people like you becuase I know you like what your doing as much as getting paid, and you can tell by the kind of gig results you get from a seller.. Even if the seller did not do 100% of what I needed, as a buyer, if there is even part of it that I got for $5 bux, how can you complain. But the quality of the seller, will make me keep ordering from that seller over & over again, and it turns into a business relationship that I can keep calling upon.
Thanks for people like you !!!

  • Hi, you probably get asked this a lot. How can i get my gig or gigs featured? I think many of my gigs are more unusual and better than many of the gigs you have featured now, and some of my gigs have been on fiverr for much longer than the featured gigs. So why hasn’t anyone noticed my gigs, hehe?

    Thanks, Ric

  • superb job…

  • Wow congrats! This person is clearly is up on being professional; willing to work with people and treat them like people! Thanks for the tips.

  • why dont we have a SUPER BUYER program. after all BUYERS are the ones who FUND the projects so its nice to give them some respect / status? :)

  • what do i do when someone wants something that takes more than $5?

  • I think giving that little extra goes a long way, which is clearly one of Adam’s strong points. I always try to add a little extra where I can, such as liking and tagging products as well as reviewing them, my customers are always really pleased. Well done Adam!

  • Just awesome! No doubt.

  • I wish you all get Super Seller one day

  • I’ve read some just right stuff here. Definitely value bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how much attempt you put to create this kind of excellent informative web site.

  • very well said and I am trying the same from last 2month when i joined fiverr

cheers for fiverr ,for providing us this opportunity

  • great tips adam and great achievement too heartly congrats

  • Wonderful advice. Unfortunately I even forgot a gig was active and it got ordered while I was redesigning it! Won’t happen again!

  • Great tips…
    And Congrats bro…

  • Congrats..Great Achievement.

  • Congrats..Great Achievement.

  • Keep it up……..Fiver is best

  • What a perfectionist. I have learned a lot from this story. I will try my best to make my clients happy too.

  • Who made the superhero picture?

  • Well that’s all very nice BUT new starters at fiverr just don’t get ANY chanse anymore. I have been doing all i can to get my gig up but nothing works anymore. Fiverr is only good for those with 100+ sales, 100′s of positive ratings and friends of the mods. I HAD a gig doing good on some keyword searches on fiverr showing at the top of the list…. then fiverr decided to delete it because “Your gig potentially violates 3rd party copyrights or trademarks” without even ASKING me first. I have full resale rights for this package.

Fiverr…. only good for some lucky once, the rest can try what they want but will never succeed here….

    Just my two cents.

  • Awesome!! I hope to get there :D way to go!!!

  • Kabrina [Fiverr.com/kabrinam]

I know I’m late on this but congratulations! This is a great motivator. My customers love the headers, favicons, FB covers, etc that I design for them and leave detailed positive feedback, and I have a few wonderful repeat clients for my gigs, but even with all of that my sales numbers are incredibly low. So, tips like those in the post above are very helpful and much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Adam,

Its not letting me post under my order?
