Be sure to share when you can – it’s good Karma! You’ll also notice the stylish new feedback buttons :)

All sellers can now upload up to 10 files totalling 150MB in a single delivery! That’s right, no more delivering multiple files 1 by 1. Plus, your buyers will be able to see all delivered photos and videos directly in the delivery box. Whoaaa!

Sellers, I hope you’re sitting for this one. Gig descriptions have been extended for all sellers to 1,200 characters! You have much more space now to describe your services and lay out your price lists.

Why are you even keeping all of them when you do not own them anymore? The purpose of this site is for work to be created for other people so that they can use it for whatever they need to use it for. If you allow the sellers to upload all the content they have created to your site you are driving traffic to the site in a way that is improper. Once the sellers have this stuff on the site they can link to it all they want after which takes away from the value of the person who paid for it. They should be allow to keep 1 or 2 samples of each type of gig maximum. The best examples and only with permission from the people who paid for them.

Technically he’s right. That’s the definition of a “job for hire”. However, FIVERR sets the rules between buyers and sellers, so as long as they make using the product this way a condition of conducting business here, the buyers can either accept the loss of value or do business elsewhere.

I’m glad someone else is concerned about the copyright and ethics issues. One of the problems with Fiverr is that the ownership of rights is muddled, and this new feature makes it worse.
I really dislike the Live Portfolio feature. It should be shut down right away because it completely eliminates buyer confidentiality. Not to mention copyright issues mentioned above. Just end it or make it voluntary by the buyer and seller with a checkbox or something.
Hi the live portfolio can be triggered only if the buyer allows. Its purely voluntary from buyer not automatically enabled. The feature is enabled automatically but each and every video that gets displayed in live portfolio is subject to approval from buyer.
It does not work that way. All work created by artist is copyrighted to that artist, unless he chooses to sell his rights to the work. That means if person makes you a logo, he has full rights to display logo he made anywhere he likes, or to grant rights for it to be displayed (such as Fiverr Portfolio). Only in rare circumstances, and with agreement between client and artist, does artist give up those rights (usually in exchange for more money).
Fiverr lets buyer decline display of item on artists portfolio, but that does not mean that artist cant upload it to Flickr and display it anyway. Its his/her work.

I think the $$ gig extras should be unlimited. I don’t think there will be a worry of sellers putting the price too high, as buyers will soon shop around to find a better price. So it will still be an equal opportunity market place. James

Great idea. This will increase the chance buyers have of seeing genuine work produced by the seller. Though, the buyer needs to make it clear to the seller if their project is to be private or not. How about a Fiverr Non-Disclosure Agreement option? James

Yes you can. The image will resize to the display proportions.

Saw this earlier on my gigs and Googled it but did not found any result. The Live Portfolio feature will indeed help the buyers to find some relevant sellers and for the sellers its a plus that they can now showoff their skills in a better manner.

This is an awful feature for buyers. The sellers are already abusing Youtube by monetizing stuff they create for other people on their own channels. It is not good “Karma” to allow sellers to show you the content you are buying after you are paying for it. What is going to happen is you are going to devalue your site because the sellers are trying to get over on people.

am I the only one having problems delivering MP3 files or WAV files? It literally just freezes up whenever I try to deliver my file!!
Kevin I had the same problem yesterday and contacted support. In the meantime I sent the file as a message. When it was received I saw that the file, mp3, had been sent though there was no indication when clicking browse. I’m not sure that will help or if your problem is the same as mine but it might be worth a try.

Who thought of the buyers being able to control which samples to show on sellers pages? That is just terrible!
What counts is the satisfaction of the buyer, not the final result because it depends on the buyer a lot, not just the seller. 50% of my work gets ruined by buyers asking for a lot of unnecessary fixes – like adding huge drop shadows, funky gradients, awful fonts etc.
To conclude – buyers shouldn’t be able to control what displays on the sellers’ gig pages! Comments were enough!

What if we just want to disable it for one delivery? Bojan is right, some buyers like AWFUL work, and we give it to them, but we don’t want to show this work in our portfolio.
Then we lose this whole update for just one client.
You can enable or disable by going to the Gig Edit page.
That’s going to disable the WHOLE portfolio, I just one to disable certain deliveries…

Did anyone else notice that when you visit a profile, the demo videos echo like crazy! I love the updates but the new video players are having some difficulties.
The audio sounds like it is playing in rounds when the video is played from the seller’s profile. They sound fine when played while viewing the individual gig.
That is no good since most of my clients find my gigs by visiting my profile first instead of searching individual gigs through the archive…I have ads on other websites directing visitors straight to my profile.
It’s hard to sell videos when the customer can’t even understand the audio in your promo. Hopefully it is just a temporary glitch…a very temporary glitch…and I am not the only one having this issue.

I ran into the same problem yesterday. I contacted support because I had 2 orders waiting to be delivered. I finally sent the completed file to my buyer through the “message” option explaining the technical glitch. After sending the file I saw that it had gone through the first time, it just didn’t show up. Try sending it. Does your “browse” button kind of blink? If so it’s probably worked. Just in case send it using the message option then send the work delivered without the file attached. You likely will see the file attached twice which is better than none!

Boo, this new feature should be available to all sellers. I was a Level One seller until I listed a link to my portfolio on my profile and got knocked down by the fiverr team for a violation. I guess you guys wised up because what I did was something many sellers are doing (most don’t get caught), but it should be an option that all sellers can partake in! So how do I, now a regular seller, advertise all the amazing things I can do for my customers? I seriously have to wait to get bumped back up to a level one seller? That may never happen if I rely on your lack of customer service, geez!
I’m mostly happy about the extended gig description! It was annoying not being able to give all the details to buyers. The better downloads featured is also appreciated. :-)

As a Fiverr who delivers audio only, the option to portfolio audio files would be of benefit to me, as I do not do graphics or images.
My only concern is that once purchased, the audio files belong to the buyer who may not want his/her audio to be portfolio’ed.
Could there be a box the buyer could tick when placing the order to give approval to publish their work to the portfolio?
The newly designed feedback buttons are very nice! How about incorporating the feeback numbers prominently in the gig description display?

Woo hoo! I’ve been waiting for some of these changes! Thank you Fiverr! My gigs are all actual products (sculptures, miniatures, jewelry, etc.) and most are customized, so being able to share the pics of my one of a kind orders is just awesome. Plus it will be great to be able to send my customers multiple pics of their completed sculptures. And I just added a new gig and was thrilled to see I have a lot more characters allowed for the description now. Keep up the good work Fiverr!

Don’t get me wrong, its an useful feature, but I think you guys need to focus on other issues. Like making a mobile version of your site. I do most of my browsing from my cell, and can’t believe there’s still no mobile site. Also, some help with gig promotion would be good. I wouldn’t mind paying for a premium service where my gig is featured. Just my 2 cents.
Nakita has a point here! You really need that mobile version, it would increase sales and communication between buyers and sellers, it’d boost everything up!
It is such a cool add-on for fiverr. Also you need to look after that, too much new option and add-on should not make the site complex and lose it’s clean environment.

As a Fiverr Buyer, I strongly expect that all of my Projects/Gigs that I order are treated at all times, with the utmost confidentiality and as such should not be publicized/broadcasted before the opportune time that I wish to reveal/unveil them.
With that being said, I am not 100% down for the new Live Portfolio™ feature. A feature like this now makes me really have to think twice before ordering Gigs.

You dont need to be concerned. Buyer’s privacy and confidentiality is taken care of. Your output picture or video is showcased in the seller’s portfolio only if you approve. They are not automatically showcased. If you dont allow it then its doesnt become part of live portfolio of the seller. Thats not explicitly mentioned in this blog but thats how it works.

i like this new FIVERR TOOLS FOR GRAPHIC ARTIST.
seriously i will not sell my drawing DESIGN copy right only for $5 (and i actually i get less of it).
it’s different with designing and re-drawing. if it re-drawing (with samples), i just sell my skill.
if i need to design something, i still own the design no matter how you buy the picture. creator copy right is still the artist own. especially if the buyer use it for the selling product… at least we as the picture/image/graphic creator need to be known as the designer. the copyright creation still own by the artist.
buyer now days very annoying, asked for full copy right. not allowed me to post in portfolio. what was that. that’s why i suspend all my gigs here. I said I will draw anything for $5, and they use that to said that i sell all copy right. that’s funny. i said i will draw anything is mean i can draw anything.
i want to tell you something now, for artist who read my post, please watch out for customers who buy story image continuously. i was so naive, well since i need money, i keep thinking that all my customer is not lier :(
1 of my customer said it was for school project. but in the end, my artist friend found out that that customer is selling the graphic in amazon as e-book. and the bad thing is… that customer do not want to add me as the illustrator. think… I even do not ask any extra for that, only the recognition as the artist. that is the worst.. i can’t accept that until nowadays~
$5 is not for copy right of graphic design creator… the copy right will never leave the artist.

Is there functionality to auto-delivery gigs?
In other words, if someone orders my MP3 on gardening, I’d like to have it delivered just like an autoresponder so we don’t hafta login to upload…this would be a HUGE timesaver. And then the system automatically updates that gig’s been delivered.
Is this coming…or have I overlooked it?

I agree with the last comments! If we are hiring someone to create something for us then we should own the rights to it. Fiverr should not have access to our purchased materials. Not to mention duplicate content. Take it down, or I for one will go somewhere else.

off topic, i guess, but i want to ask why my payments have not been cleared until now? i read that payments are cleared 14 days but my last payments for my gigs was august 22, 2012 and so on but its not cleared until today. its over 14 days already. thanks. i put the question here because i don’t see any help box or way to contact fiverr here. thanks.

Where do buyers have option to not allow gigs to be displayed in portfolio of seller?
The 3rd screenshot in the post shows where buyers can choose to not allow a gig to be displayed in seller’s portfolio. All you have to do is click the minus (-) icon on the image.
When you see the image, there will be a small negative sign on the top right section. You can click on that.
From reading the comments here it appears that the biggest concern is or companies ordering gigs that relate specifically to their brand. As deepen said, you have the option to not have it displayed. Other gigs, like the Scottish singing happy birthday, would be a great portfolio item, as would some of the artists material to show eir skills. Remember, you do have a choice. Rock on fiverr… Good extra tool. I, for one, would like to see previous gigs to see the skill of the seller. I also would show some of my gigs as it also brands my company!

I would like to see audio portfolios. I am an exclusively audio seller, and so this wonderful feature does nothing for me. I think it’s fantastic for other sellers, but I would like to see audio included.
Perhaps you can add some animations with your audio behind it( so it will be an avi file but only with music/audio)

I would like the ability to not allow buyers to post to my portfolio. Not that it’s true in all cases, but with some of the things we do for $5, I would rather not have associated to my profile. As it is right now there is 1 buyer video in my portfolio that doesn’t have sound (they wanted it removed) but there’s no way to indicate that and viewers of my gig may think it’s broken/bad.
You can always disable the feature. To do this, go to “My Gigs” and then “Edit” each Gig you’ll see an option to disable Live Portfolio.
The problem is, it can only be on or off. We really need to be able to choose on an individual basis, what gigs we want on our portfolio.
I also do video work and sometimes the buyer just has a really bad script or there are things like mentioned above. Sometimes you get a great project that you would like to showcase and keep at the top of the portfolio, but you have no way to choose what you want in your portfolio.
Please add the ability to choose your portfolio pieces on and individual basis.
I would agree with Dave on having some way to say yes include this or no don’t include this one. Sometimes the projects you do are projects that people don’t want seen yet due to a product launch or a event that isn’t announced yet.
It is a cool feature but if it could be a bit more manual

What i would suggest is use the option of having problems while upload option while delivering. This would prevent from showing your work in live portfolio. This way you can choose what to showcase and what not to showcase
I just started on Fiverr, and I am so happy to see this upgrade! This will be great for sellers. I am looking forward to posting more gigs. I can’t wait to use this feature, and I can’t wait to see what the team comes up with next!

Can someone please tell me where to add a portfolio item? I cannot find it anywhere in my Fiverr gig editing screen. I also do not see how to add delivered items, even though it is illustrated above in this blog post.

This is one really great option that could be implemented.
