The code-ninjas at Fiverr HQ have been working relentlessly, preparing an arsenal of tools to enable even more sellers with the ability to make more money. There are so many hard working entrepreneurs out there striving to deliver top quality Gigs and be Fiverr’s very best, that we can now recognise for their hard work and dedication with our biggest upgrade to Gig selling since… EVER?!
Fiverr heavyweight Professor Puppet stepped up to the role of presenting a short introduction. He’s a great example of a user that has built up a successful Fiverr business from scratch, utilising the tools available to offer high quality Gig content to thousands of happy buyers.
Ladies and gentleman, we bring to you: Fiverr Levels! [Take it away, Professor.]
Excited much? Knew it! Let’s talk details.
Resources previously available to just a handful of selected Top Sellers are now being opened up to the entire Gigging community via Fiverr Levels. There are three different Fiverr Levels as Professor Puppet explained. These are named Level 1, Level 2 and Top Rated Seller.
As you become eligible for these different Levels you will unlock an array of money making tools to use at your disposal. As you continue to grow as a seller on Fiverr, you’ll unlock more features that’ll help you make even more money!
We’ve broken them down for you here:
Yes we know, you’re salivating at the prospect of adding Extras to your Gigs and being able to accept multiple purchases. As long as you’re active on Fiverr and making sales, whilst meeting the above criteria then you can expect to receive an email very soon notifying you on your updated Level 1, 2 or Top Rated Seller status.
You’ll also notice that we’ve given the user interface a facelift in some key areas, improving the overall look of your Gigs and user pages. We won’t show you here, but hope you like the changes!
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts (in the comments below) and are looking forward to seeing you make use of all the new tools at your disposal and turning your Fiverr store into a real income that you can rely on!

This sounds like a great idea for promoting more business for Fiverr, and for sellers too.
However, I would think that you would want to add the more selling aids to the lower levels to help them in climbing the ladder. The ones at the higher levels already have established thriving business on Fiverr and don’t need as much help. It almost seems like your intention is to support the higher levels and let the lower ones continue to struggle.
If you help the entry and lower level folks, you would have more overall sales revenue for Fiverr, and more happy sellers. You would also be creating more team spirit, and the same top level folks wouldn’t be getting promoted by you as much in blog or Facebook.

I joined fiverr just two weeks ago and already qualify for Level 2. So, while I *hear* you, I don’t think being a newbie means you cannot be eligible.
Steve, I couldn’t agree with you anymore. I can say no matter whether you are a Top rated or a new seller you can expect to receive top notch support from the Fiverr support. I had to contact support for like 3 times and I got very prompt reply (2 minutes?) can you believe just 2 minutes and the problem resolved. I bet you can’t find such support anywhere on the Internet.
PS I hope to receive Level 2 email soon after 220+ sales and positive feedback :p

Well, looks great, but I’ve been top seller for a while and in the last months the sales are decreased too much, I don’t feel like fiverr is giving me any kind of additional exposure for being top seller, but I really appreciate the fact that I can use additionals to make a few extra bucks.

woooooowww,,, u guys r so update n i feel like im very serious now… i don’t know what to say…. but it feels like, i have my own office, my own secretary, my own marketing, my own company… fiverr helps me get easier n easier to do what i do now… u manage, provide, support, oh, wellll, it seems now,,, that i know what to say… a lot! ^_^
Following and joining many types of businesses in addition to my own home based business for over 30 years has made me cautious about what I put my name to. Then along comes an introduction to Fiverr. It must have been two months before circumstances nipped my heals and one day a few weeks ago I bacame a member and posted a gig.
There was no expectation of ‘big money’ but the ‘hey, maybe I’ll get some exposure’ while doing what I love to do, yes the networking thing, the planting of some seeds syndrome.
I promoted Fiverr excitedly because of the feedback I was receiving. Like Sally Field blooped out years ago on the awards program, “They like me, they really, really like me,” even though when telling someone what I was doing they said “and you make how much?”.
Ok, so the next time I didn’t tell them that some gigs take me two hours and that Fiverr keeps one dollar and so I’m making $2 per hour. I couldn’t expect them to understand that.
Now levels? Totally unexpected by me, I was resigned to do what I love, not as a money maker but a joy to spread my talents for $4 per gig. Now Levels and the potential to earn extra dollars per gig and be able to puff my chest out and tell others I can make enough each month to pay a bill, or two or three.
Keep me humble I pray, isn’t their another gig site where I can make just one dollar per gig and not worry over the accounting expenses I will now have to endure with the unexpected fiverr wealth.
Just when you think you have finally figured it out, Fiverr goes and changes things. Thank’s Fiverr for stretching your entrepreneurial gigs! I’ll welcome the levels for which I think I’ve reached level one and maybe level two within a couple more weeks.

This seems great, but its going to make it even harder for new sellers to get anywhere… Lots of people, including me get burred under hundreds of 0 sale gigs….
As A buyer, I am not actually intetested in how many sales people have already. I normally do a search for the gigs I want rather than browse through the categories. So, your keywords bring you up on my searches. When looking for a provider, I am more interested in your gig wording, and if you have any ‘negative’ feedback.
For me, think about what you can give the buyers, then choose your wording well, thinking about what the buyer may need to know. Then provide what you promise quickly, and people will buy and return to you again.

I was just starting to get frustrated. I’m on Fiverr for more than 6 month and I have a 100% positive rating and much more completed sales than anyone offering the same service on Fiverr.
I tried to get in touch with the team and ask them for a Top Seller badge so I could offer more services to buyers (as Proffessor Puppet does). I only got an answer that the criteria for being choosen are very complex.
Now, finally, I would possibly be able to offer more services.
Fiverr is such an awesome tool for sellers and entrepreneurship! The quality of work I have received well surpasses the money the seller received. I am glad to have found Fiverr and suggest it to many of my friends with small businesses.

When does this happen? Are you counting new purchases or previously completed gigs? I have more than 900 completed gigs, 100% rating and still don’t see any options described as available for Level 1, Level 2 or the now manually selected “Top Rated Seller” status.

This is a very good progress.
Inclusion of possibility for (unlimited) tips will go long way to promote Fiverr(R). In some gigs we go far above and beyond. Requesting a tip kind of puts off the person at the other end. The system should suggest a completely optional / discretionary tip (of multiple of fives) when rating the gig.

Anyway, in my opinion, I think what with the rules above, there will be automatically too much Level 1 and Level 2.
The minimum requirements are too low.
The 2 Levels (1 and 2) more or less sound like a gift :-) for the seller, and instead both must be earned working hard and in more time in my opinion, at least 6 months for Level 1 and 12 months for Level 2, independently from volume sales.

I like this. I’ve always hoped to be a top rated seller, but my gig doesn’t lend itself to a top rating. I write, and while I write really well, it’s not the sort of creative, out of the box thinking gig that Fiverr likes to reward with top ratings.
This gives me a chance to go through the levels, and to put in addons, so I can actually charge what high quality writing is worth. I appreciate that, thank you.

So many great comments here but…. sorry to say, its still way to vague for me. I’m getting great reviews from my gigs, but how is this going to help me make more money? It just isn’t making sense because for example I can add the gig extras already, yes? For example I could say I will do an extra, related feature/function/task when you buy 2 gigs.

Hi Steve, with Levels you will have the option to add an ‘Extra’ to your Gig. For example ‘I will upload your video to Youtube for $5′ would be an ‘Extra’ on someone’s video Gig. Have a look on Fiverr for some examples.

Great job! I’ve been upselling via links to my other gigs so this will be a big help and a time saver. Not to mention I’m sure I’ll get more sales :-)
I would be curious as to what percentage of rating is considered, and hopefully my overall rating is high enough. My Fiverr user rating right is 97%, which is not perfect but it was all only over a simple misunderstanding on one of my gigs for one client.
But I’m working hard to reverse the situation. I’m still communicating with that client, as a matter of fact.
The other gigs I have done are at 100% though and have had almost 80 orders so far and as of January 11th, I will be on 5R two months. So, I hope I will be considered for level 2 even though my rating is not at 100% right now unfortunately. Which is disappointing because I was doing so well. :(

I have also made the suggestion to your technical support team to please put in a page where we as sellers can look at all the gig requests available.. like they can look at services offered. As a beginning user it’s hard to referral gigs.. I need to market myself. Your current set up makes that difficult. Thanks!

Wonderful news! As a buyer, it was very irritating to have to make multiple gig purchases for larger jobs. You have some great sellers on the site and this will help you keep them.

I wonder if this will apply to previous gigs?
I’ve sold about 160 and I’d like to get top rated at some stage. I only have 99% positive as i had to cancel a gig once due to illness, which i didn’t know would be counted as negative.
Look forward to using these features as i sell so many multi gigs and the users always forget to fill out buyer requirements. sometimes I’ve sold 8 gigs to one person and the admin gets hard to keep on top of.

Be careful. If you have a popular gig you might have some downtime. I received notification that I’m now level two. I went ahead and edited the gig and added an extra. Now it’s no longer live and pending fiverr review. Hopefully not for too long.

Great! I think it is wonderful that the fiverr team continually strives to perfect the site and the experience of the buyers and sellers. Echoing many of the comments above, I think a tip option is a great idea that should be pursued. I also would like the ability to see, quickly, how much I made in a certain month or my total from a larger period of time, for example 6 months or 1 year. Thanks! ;)

Excellent improving, I must say that I really love to see the new changes which effect me too. Hope so.
I started the fiverr as an try and error and really and with my first gig and suddenly it starts generate a $100/month income since last month. That became my utilmate goal to have this income continues. Believe me I am working very hard and sincerely with my clients too.
I hope this new changes will increase my income from hundreds to thousands. I am really looking into it.

I agree! I’ve tried all the money making schemes on the Internet (or a lot of them) and never made a cent. On Fiverr, however, I’m making pretty good money.
If you have a talent that is in demand Fiverr is the best way to make money online.
Thanks Ron, me too. Being fair I did make a lot of money and had to fight to get it back because the owners of a couple of programs hacked my external payment system when I withdrew! Learnt my lesson. Agreed, it is refreshing to earn proper funds and not have any unpleasant issues. Think Fiverr is one of those ‘Facebook/Google’ scenarios and will become very large and successful worldwide!

New site layout – while keeping thing fresh has forced me just to scroll down further to get to what I want. ie much more space between gigs makes a very large layout…
Upsells – Just hope you are not losing sight of the reason fiverr is such a great success – FIVE… already having gigs that offer double and triple pricing as top sellers.
Like other buyers here, it is a great place to diversify services offered at a great price…
Some gigs offer poor content and usually get cancelled and don’t hang around for too long.
As a long term buyer and user of gigs cusotmer support and offering the gigs at FIVE not 10 15 20 and who knows is of much more interest and will keep me buying…
The fiverr concept is awesome..
It was a nice surprise this morning when I got an email notice that I’m a Level 1. I think I qualify for a Level 2, though, since I’ve completed close to 400 gigs (with 50+ orders in queue right now) and 100% buyer feedback. I am wondering how this will affect new people who haven’t got to any level. If people only want to use the higher level members the lower level people may not see many gigs and the higher level people may get swamped.
A way to compensate for this would be to make the gigs using higher level members to cost more. Why would people buy lower level members offers if the higher level offers are at the same price.

The one downside to the changes on the gig page however, is that the number of completed gigs doesn’t show up as prominently.
I am proud of my feedback and would like to have visitors see the number of gigs I have completed! It should be front and center!
This is a great change. I have sold around 50 succesfull work here with 100% positive feedback. What is my level and when will I get it:-). cannot wait for it…..

Hi Graeme, great question. Corresponding well with other Fiverr users, heavy activity, introducing new users, maintaining a great image are just some of the things associated with being a strong community person.
Its a great news. I was actually wondering about the sellers with stars by their names. And before it used to be difficult to find out any information on how to become one. But I suppose keep on doing best job you can and provide value for your clients and it will come. Just like in any other venture.

Hey I just want to say I love fiverr and this is a great idea! What % feedback do you need to hit level 1 though? I got behind during the holidays and was late on an order (literally in the process of finishing the order when the seller canceled) and now I have 99% feedback instead of %100. Will I still be eligible for at least level 1?
I believe u have done well. I have always been thinking how long it will take me to get “Top rated seller” status, but now i can get closer gradually. Kudos.

Why does it not show how many Gigs you have completed anymore? It just shows 100%, but that means an account with one gig complete looks as good as an account with 100 gigs under its belt…. what’s that about?

I wanted to know why the ‘gig age’ feature is removed from the system, i think it will be helpful for buyers know the quality of the gig by comparing the number of purchases with age.
Sometimes as a buyer i feel like using advanced search options to find the right gig to buy. Is this option in that upgrading list. It will be great.
The fiverr page displays in a vertical list view, it would be great in horizontal list view with rows. The description should show when mouse hovered on any gig image.

This is a really great idea guys! Ever since being upgraded to level two, I’ve been thinking of ways to enhance the overall professionalism of my gigs. It’s the stuff like this that keep you motivated and inspired. Now if you guys could only have your code ninjas go and perform surgery on that iphone app!

I really appreciate your hard work and continued expansion of your service! business has been extremely slow since December, and I get enough work here to make ends meet(ish).
I think it be nice if we could get a “Suggestion Box” so people can suggest alternatives to the gigs you offer. I get a huge influx of messages from people just asking if I can provide a different type of video, different color, etc.
I’ve had the same! I use those suggestions to create new gigs, and some of those have become pretty popular! I love my Fiverr customers! :)

1. easy in registering n easy payment procedure
2. easy to fill the new gig (it guides me very clearly)
3. easy to upload the image (it has clear note for maximum mb. n it’s large for me to feel free to upload any image)
4. easy manage everything here (feels like i have my own assistance or great manager)
5. easy to publish it (there’s fb, twitter, google plus)
6. easy to get known by others eventhough… when i was a new person here. fiverr publish all: new, rating, popular, etc.)
7. easy to shop, even easy to find a very rare service that i can’t get outside (i can stare other’s gigs i might need n having “like” on my page just in 24 hours… with very loooow cost)
8. easy to solve my problem (25 hours per day, 8 days per week customer support is always ready)
9. easy to get information about order (all is provided in the order page, even cancellation is guided to b done in a fair way n with attitude (we must provide the reason), easy to find buyer with related request with my gigs.
10. easy to feel safe (the system makes both buyer n seller safe in a fair way)
11. easy to raise the achievement (i have xtra on my gigs now ^_^)
12. easy to have a pro n serious business here (there’s levels here, just like career).
13. n easily-automaticly get me more professional in service (still learning by doing ^^), coz the competition here…
14. easy to get knowledge n info about advertise (coz by read a gig that offers this n that about how to increase “like”, google plus, etc, so i know how the net going…

I couldn’t agree more. Fiverr allowed us (I’m a single mom) to have a great Christmas, and helps me pay down some bills every month. A God-send for sure! :)
