Doing business online is all about simple, easy and focused communication between the Buyer and the Seller, be it a million dollar or a $5 deal. Over the past few months we’ve witnessed hundreds of thousands of business interactions made over Fiverr.com. We’ve put our efforts in a try to understand what makes these interactions tick, and further more – what can make them better, smoother and faster. What’s missing in our process? What can be improved?
So, we came up with an answer — We’re honored to present the new Orders & Conversations. An all swifter and more focused communication toolbox.
The new Orders and Conversations flow simplifies your Fiverr activity. It’s now easier to follow, navigate and manage your orders and shopping; sort, prioritize, and keep track of time.
In this blog post we’ll go over the new features and explain how to make the best use of each of them in order to sell better, shop better and maximize your Fiverr experience.
The New Order Flow
Up until recently, Fiverr users communicated their orders by e-mail. While e-mail is a great tool, it doesn’t reflect the dynamic environment indeed needed for a productive interaction between a buyer and a seller. The new Order Flow allows you to to just talk. Chat, get notified on milestones, and use contextual helpers that will assist you during the order process.
Instructions To Buyer
This feature allows the Sellers to specify their requirements prior to the time when the actual work starts. The Seller can notify the user right in the Gig Page, about what is needed in order to get the deal done (e.g. Send me your original JPG files with the text you want me to add there“). Another cool feature, is that the Buyer has to fulfill the Seller’s requirements from within the Order Flow. Only after the Buyer supplies the information or files needed, the Seller gets notified about a pending order. This feature is a basically a time saver for both parties.
Note to Sellers » Your time is valuable. If you have active gigs with no Instructions to Buyer, add it! Also, you no longer need to Accept orders. It’s simply done automatically.
All-in-One Compose Box
To answer the question “What do I do now, when do I do it, and how?”, let’s take a look at the All-in-One Compose Box. This is multi-functional working area, for both Buyers and Sellers, to each we’ve put out different actions and solutions to match every context and aspect of the order flow.

For the Sellers, the Compose Box is even more powerful, with Tabs. When delivering an order, the Seller simply clicks on the Deliver tab, can add a file and a short message, and sends away. This is an appropriate closure for an order flow.
For too long the Delivery was considered a milestone, rather than an Event. A joyous event. In the new Order Flow, delivery is considered an end of a process, the bottom line, celebrated in a fancy green box, and present, to each party (buyer and seller), the relevant tools and actions for this occasion.
In extreme cases, both Buyers and Sellers have the Got Problems tab, on the top right of the Compose Box, with few possible solutions: Order cancellation by mutual agreement, in some cases a forced cancellation is enabled for the user, and, of course, an easy way to get support from Fiverr’s support team.
Slide-up Notifications
Whenever your counterpart submits a new message to You, a notification will slide up on the bottom of the order flow page, with a link to the latest unread messages in the order flow or conversation. This feature works alongside the good ol’ e-mail notifications, of course.
Conversations. Just talk.
Another area that has undergone a huge improvment is the casual chatting tools available for Fiverr users.
This feature behaves, basically, like an order flow, only it doesn’t end, and it aims at enabling a casual chit-chat platform for contacting sellers, replying to buyers and asking questions.
Manage With Ease
Accompanying the huge changes in orders and conversations, are two management screens, for your Sales and Shopping activities. Using these tools, you will be able to easily track down your orders, shopping and order statuses. Also, Filters are an easy way to find what you’re looking for without the trouble of browsing through long lists.
Here’s the Manage Shopping screenshot:
Note: This feature is also related to our recent addition of Balance Pages & Statistics.
Recent Conversations Quicklink in Order Page
In an order flow, you might want to reminisce on recent conversations you had with your counterpart, possibly related, or even unrelated, to the current order. To help you with this, we’ve added a small text-link on the top right of the order flow header, and with a single click you can access the conversation between you and your seller or buyer.
That’s it!
We truly hope these new features will enhance and maximize your experience with Fiverr. We wish you happy trading, happy micro-entrepreneuring, and may you enjoy your new toolbox as much as we enjoyed developing it.

Also, you no longer need to Accept orders. It’s simply done automatically.
I am fairly new to Fiverr as a seller, but that all looks pretty easy and straight forward! Thanks for the info.
For me canceling the order was not a simple, easy process.
The buyer should have that option presented more readily.
how does one go about making a buyer’s request as seen on the main page?
